NJ, I wish I could recover the money I spent on wax chasing that card. Nice pick up.

    Dave,
Waters looks like any kid you would see at the local pizza shack with his skateboard propped up next to his table. He looks like a baby!

As for the Emmitts, well you know how I feel about them image

Yeah, one might even say Ive been a bit too busy. I have yet to decide if I will sub them or not...these are for my personal collection so should I even bother spending the sub $$??

Thanks and glad you enjoyed the look!

These have arrived in the past week or so. I don't think I've shown them here, but if I did, oh well you are seeing them again. I don't think anyone will mind...

I picked it up for $961.09 on eBay.
It looks even nicer in person than it does in the scan. A blue marker signature wouldn't have looked as nice I don't think.

I know this is more of a rare or nice graded card thread, but with the passing of Kirby, I thought I would share my Kirby auto. I got this TTM back in 2000. Even though I'm a Red Sox fan, I always loved to watch him play.

Thanks for the autograph, and all the smiles Kirby. image

    I agree...

Although it is a nice card, it's worse than seeing Franco Harris with Seattle or Tony Dorsett with the Broncosimage

That's a great Kirby Puckett card!

My father in law asked me to list/sell some of his extra cards today, I asked about 2 of them and he said just keep them. We haggled and I ended up paying $400 for the pair. Better than Christmas!

Wow what a great looking card Fur.. congrats

It's been a little while since I've looked at this thread.. outstanding stuff!

This came in the mail for me today.. Three PSA 10 Fuhr's for my collection now and many to go.. There's only the 1 psa 10 '87 Fuhr so far. I love the '87 set, they were my first cards ever at the age of 7.

    So much great stuff!

But that Gretsky card is off the chart!

I'm wondering...would I rather see a great card like that w/o the sig?

    But they look fantastic together!

That is the best I've seen!

The Clemente auto aint bad either!

I'll get to the others after I break!

I just got a nice note from HH who saw some nice games on ebay - Gaynor auctions - they have great stuff BTW. I appreciate Mike thinking about me/looking out for me.

But, I'm now over 4 months!

So my contribution is my discipline!

    This just came in today:

    image

I'm thinking about sending it back in to PSA to get it graded. Even if it's just a 4, I think I'd rather have it graded than just authentic in my HOF registry set.

Edit - Nevermind. It took this post to create page 110, and now both show. Weird.

Nice action shot on your Fuhr card. I've always liked the action shots, especially on the hockey cards.

jackstraw...Nice action shot on that Fuhr card. It's a beauty.

No there's no way to tell who's on the lid without taking the lid off. I won't do that I bought it because it was sealed. I know it's not a Ryan or a Rose because it is the wrong color.
