Got some new Wainwright items in and thought I'd share even though most people don't care about my man-crush:
2006 Finest Green Refractor #145/199
2006 UD Special FX #4/50
2004 Just Minors 8x10 auto #200/200
2006 World Series baseball (eBay purchase, seller spelled the name wrong so I picked it up for $22 delivered, which was less than half or what the previous one sold for )
Chris My small collection Want List: '61 Topps Roy Campanella in PSA 5-7 Cardinal T206 cards Adam Wainwright GU Jersey
It's not nice but I've been looking a long time. I think it's a 4 because of centering and the staining on the back, I can't find any wrinkles or dings.
The reason the Tannehill got the VG grade is because of of a bend in the card that creased the back; I think the McConnell had been pasted in an album, because it looks like there is a slight paste stain on the back.

Just got these in from Ken (Skilow). Thanks, again!
And this one is for my Roy Campanella set. It's not part of the PSA registry but I wanted it anyway. It seems to be slightly overgraded as there are a couple surface wrinkles along with the 4 fuzzy corners, but it will look good in my display and is the best centered copy I've seen in my price range.

Just got these back from a private signing at a price that was too good not to take advantage of... They have the Jerry Rice hologram on the reverse as well:
Got a couple player collection cards in today. The first is an Adam Wainwright 2006 Topps Chrome Black Refractor #183/200
The next is a 1953 Bowman Color for my Roy Campanella set. I'm actually pretty disappointed in myself with this one. I had been looking for a decently centered copy and finally found it. But I didn't pay enough attention to the image itself and it's out of focus. I'll live with it for now but I will be on the lookout for an upgrade.

I picked-up this 1926 W512 Johnny Weissmuller PSA 9 tonight on fee-bay.
rd
P.S. Did you know? Johnny Weissmuller contracted Polio as a child? At age 9, he took up swimming as physical therapy. He won 5 gold medals in two different Olympics (1924 Paris & 1928 Amsterdam.). He also won a Bronze metal in team water polo for the USA.
He lied and said he was born in Pennsylvania (he was really born in Europe). Plus his dad signed some sort of an affidavit that he was American born, this permitted Weissmuller to be issued an American Passport, to travel to Paris, this proved key for the kid Weissmuller, allowing him to compete in the 1924 & 1928 Olympics, representing United States at age 19 as a U.S. swimmer.
In addition to his Olympic medals, Weissmuller won fifty-two US National Championships and set sixty-seven world records. Johnny Weissmuller never lost a race and retired from his amateur swimming career undefeated. Wow!
Wild Bill Hickok was a "bad dude with a gun", when he was a lawman in Abilene, if you broke the law there, watch out! For Hickok would just shoot you, ...not arrest you! ...And how about these Western "bad boys"? Billy the Kid, Frank and Jesse James!
I picked up most of these 1964 Wheaties Stamps a couple of weeks ago, along with the album you were supposed to stick 'em in. It's an odd little set: there isn't room for all of the stamps in the album, for one thing. Another oddity is that the set contains all of the Pro Bowl players from 1963--except for one, Frank Gifford. I wrote a blog post that describes the set--have a look:
I'm not sure what to make of the Topps Vault file copy cards. Even though it's not worth much I still like it. As far as I know PSA won't slab it as a file copy.

If you can't get a page turn, all you have to do is alter the address in the URL by changing the last number in the address to the next higher...
For example, if the addy is http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=414190&STARTPAGE=489, change it to http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=414190&STARTPAGE=490
A bit of minor paper loss on the back kept the grade from being much higher....

Either way - they both present well.
