There's probably been articles written about it, but I doubt if there's too many examples of bad football teams giving up their first round picks, and it benefits them overall.

If you're running a team such as the Panthers, who haven't had a winning record in some years now, you just can't give-up your first round picks in any deal, doesn't matter how good you might think the deal is, you just can't do it. Period.

I hope you're all paying attention to what's happening in Washington, this is no longer a football game, it's a beatdown.

How bout' them Cowboys, yee haw!

  • stevekstevek Posts: 28,991 ✭✭✭✭✭

Cowboys at -7 today at home.

Considering they have been impressive at home this season with an 8-0 record, I thought the line would be a bit higher, maybe 9.5 or 10.

I'm not calling the game, but a close game or Cowboys loss wouldn't surprise me.

Well, we're certainly going to see what the Cowboys are made of now, it's playoff time, no excuses. Although I can already predict what's going to happen, the same thing that happens every season.

That mentioned line just seems a bit suspiciously low. The Cowboys may still get past this game today, but the real test will be when they go on the road.

Yes, they might get past Green Bay at home, might, but when it comes time to go on the road into a hostile environment? Same old story, season over. Mark my words, the Cowboys will not make it to the Super Bowl.

I love to say it. 💕

    It’s 27-0 and it’s looking good for “America’s Team.”

    They are not my team.

Don't worry, Jerry Jones has already made the call down to the field and the referees are starting to warm their arms up so they can throw them flags much faster. Boys get the ball to start the 2nd half so this will be a big tell if they score - GB's missed field goal will come back to haunt them and Dallas wins by one -

WOW! Didn't expect that GB touchdown! The choke job in Dallas looks like a reality.

    its over 41-16

will Dak be Dallas' QB next season? he does not seem to be the answer.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

The Dallas defense looks like “the Carolina Bobcats” in this game. There was not a defender within 20 yards of the Green Bay touchdown.

I almost posted that this game would be a Dallas blow-out. What do I know? I am glad to be wrong.

Dallas is fortunate that the NFL owners in the previous off season, enacted a little known, new play worth 35 points.

So they still have a chance in this game.

I now have a new favorite football game ever. This. Is. AWESOME!!!

This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.

I think that touchdown may have iced it for the Packers.

Normally I would turn-off a game like this. But I can't look away. it's just way too much fun.

Ok,are we done talking about Dallas as Super Bowl contenders?

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 7,827 ✭✭✭✭✭

i had Dallas tied into a teaser and it cost me 155$

    it was worth every penny

only thing that would have been better is if the public address announcer had said to all of the DC fans at the stadium after the first Green Bay touchdown, "you're more than welcome to stay for the rest of the game if you want, but Dallas will never have the lead and they are going to get blown the f out. safe travels home and Happy New Year."

Wouldn't surprise me if this is McCarthy's final game with the Cowboys.

Probably depends if Jerry sees somebody out there he desires. If not, I'm guessing that McCarthy might stay.

Maybe Jerry will go for Belichick. It would be Tom Landry 2.0.

Jerry had said the playoffs would be what he went off of so I guess we will see if he really does.

Belichick will be in Dallas probably before the draft

Jerry Jones has hired a number of older, experienced, winning head coaches before. Bill Parcells comes to mind, and of course McCarthy won a Super Bowl with Green Bay.

So hiring Belichick wouldn't be a shocker.

Id honestly be shocked. Bill will want full control which is something Jerry is famous for not doing

My gut tells me it's not going to happen.

But then again, stranger things have happened. I mean Jones fired a coach who won two straight Super Bowls for him. So Jones is capable of anything.

If Jones hires Belichick, I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to see the Stature of Liberty and full house backfield plays come back to football.

Part of that was because of the control aspect. I honestly think Jerry and Bill would be about the worst Owner Coach combo possible. I seriously doubt Bill would listen to Jerry and I doubt Jerry would put up with Bill

I would like a reality show of it, I doubt it would last the whole season but would be entertaining
