Just checked the Mint Website, the 2024 mintage for these sets is going up by 12,500 to 262,500.

Does anyone recall if the 250,000 mintage of the 2023 sets was a sellout?

The Mint Website says "Currently Unavailable."

Go back to page 17 of this thread. They did go unavailable almost immediately, other than the few that trickled out at 7:30 some mornings, but there was a large number of returns one week that pushed the sales number way down, to something barely above 200K.

That was never explained, since it would be almost impossible to result from a bunch of small buyers. The speculation was that a bunch of less than perfect coins were being returned for no good reason, and that they'd pop up for sale at some point. Never happened.

So, it's impossible to know for sure what the actual sales number was, and whether there is a glitch in what they are reporting, whether there was a major issue with tens of thousands of coins, or whether they are sitting in a warehouse somewhere, waiting for the 2026 vault sale. It does seem unlikely, though, that they'd bump up the mintage if they didn't have a reason to think they could sell them. Maybe it will be revised downward between now and the on sale date?
