Holy smokes they don't get any nicer than that right out of the pack...id give it a 10
after viewing front back of the card I see no reason why it's not a 9! other than non technical reasons.
I've been collecting high grade cards since I was 13 years old now for 40 years and that card has the cleanest pink back I've have ever seen. Just look at the corners from the back and all four come to a SHARP POINT with NO white showing...absolutely gorgeous and an easy 10...

I was going to post the same thing - that back shows the strongest corners I have ever laid eyes upon.

Midnight Conference has registration issue…
I didn’t want to mention that earlier - but it made me curious about Fiery Encounter which is negligible by comparison and also received an 8. I have questions there for PSA. I couldn’t find an issue on that card to keep it from a 10. Still these are the best I’ve seen for 1966 Batman ever.
Some of these 8s should be a 9 or 10. This is really wrong PSA. You can't put this quality of a card in a freaking psa 8 holder. I am sorry but you have moved all of these cards down two grade levels.

That should be a 10 all day and any day.
The registration is off. It looks like the black printing is shifted to the left horizontally.
I don't know this issue but the pics all seem blurry because of the registration.
Only the Bat-a-rang bulls-eye 9oc card a few posts above looks clear and would be a 10 if not off center.

I'm still flabbergasted at how nice your Batman cards are...must have been euphoric feeling opening them to see alot of the cards in flawless and near flawless condition...great past time!!!!

As I see it, PSA was right on all the the PSA 8's which should be PSA 8's. Everyone has centering issues for a "9".

This is basically me on all those Batmans because I love how pristine they are in color and edges. PSA should be happy I wasn't the one grading these, because they'd have fired me for what I'd give them.

Chaz has spoken.
Never saying I was a know it all, but I can't tell you how many times I received grades back from PSA questioning the grade until..... I went through all the checks required to accept the grade I was given:
!. Carefully check the centering T/B and S/S meeting PSA Requirements front and back
2.Triple - Check the the corners front and back
3. Carefully check the edges front and back
4. Super Carefully check the surface front and back
....and after all this, I almost always wind up justifying the PSA grade and say to myself...yes, they were right again...
so as Larry David says.... Curb your Enthusiasm.
Chaz,
When I get a PSA order done, I never look at the grades until they arrive at my doorstep. I want to pull the card out and regrade it myself before seeing the grade that PSA gave me. I have found that I agree with 70% of the grades that I receive. I resubmitted around 30 cards from PSA that I felt were incorrectly graded and the results were stupid. Only one went down, five stayed the same and all the rest went up 1-3 grades. I have a feeling that some of these Batman PSA 8's would get a PSA 9 if resubmitted (like #4). However, you were extremely lucky to get a PSA 9 on #36( too much print defects) and #52 (centering).

I agree with 90% of the above.
Do you think the grading standards have changed/tightened over the last 3 or 4 years?

I think that they have tightened no doubt. I also think grading prices are too high. I remember specials for $5.00 per card !! Those were the days!! I believe it became overwhelming for PSA. They should drop the bulk pricing to $9.00 per card minimum 100 cards per order like they used to for specials. There is hardly any profit or incentive for dealers or anyone to submit bulk cards anymore with $19.00 per card @ $300.00 value per card or even a special for $15.00 per card. Also, the years are restricted...1990 and up???? What the hell is that??
Without seeing the back, I can only presume the Griese got a PSA 7 because of the fisheyes on the dolphin. If that is the case, I can find piles of PSA 8 and 9 with that same issue. That is a brutal grade for such a sharp card. Should be a PSA 8 all day. Congrats on the beautiful checklist!

POP 8 - 3 HIGHER
POP 16 - NONE HIGHER
Don't get it the 9 displays worse than almost all your 8s
Agree. Those 8s should all be 9s too.
The current grading ‘standards’ are not making me enjoy dealing with PSA.
I thought PSA did away with qualifiers?
Can a submitter still request a qualified grade if they want one?

From what I read, its at their discretion. I just got one on a 1975 Topps Nolan Ryan that was OC. PSA 8OC
Batman should be able to pull some 9's and 10's from his utility belt to upgrade those cards. 😀

The artwork and expressions in the Batman card series are definitely 10's. Convey perfectly for each card the scene.
I did not see #19 (on other page). #4 you are blind......

There are two #4s there boss. You don’t have to be rude.
Yep!
