Wow - what a run of beautiful woodies. Was going to make the usual 1962 joke about "men with no hats" until I saw all those Yanks with perfect caps, and Torre with a beautiful backwards cap. Congrats on a spectacular run!!!

Congrats on the amazing run of '62s. These are the type of packs that can make up for dozens of duds.

More. Way more. I believe if this card goes to market, the term "whale" could be used quite appropriately. It would be a centerpiece for someone with a whole lotta dough.

Congrats Chris. Crazy that all these came from one pack.

It's great you got that 10, but you should have at least 1 more out of that pack. Some of those 9s are under graded.

I've never been a huge fan of this set, but those are all some of the most beautiful you'll ever find.

    Chris,

There is a 1962 Topps Baseball 1st Series cello pack PSA-6 w/Jim Kaat on top in BBCE Auction (bidding begins tomorrow)...if interested in cracking out.

1962 Topps Baseball 1st Series is loaded with star power: Maris #1, Koufax #5, Clemente #10, Managers Dream (Mays and Mantle) #18, Banks #25, Mathews #30, Musial #50, Killebrew #70, Spahn #100 plus League Leader cards.

Note: Kaat is centered fairly well.

I plan to hold the Torre and Yankee team card for now as part of my RIP collection build. The others I might consign.

You’re stranded on a deserted island and can only take 3 CU threads with you…

Didn’t take long, relatively, for this one to join the NNOF and Fergie’s rip thread. Amazing stuff, but the 62’s took it to another level in my book! Thanks so much for sharing!

A pic of my two favorites together.

    Amazing thread.
I’m sure you do this for the pure thrill of opening.
Has PSA been more reasonable with grading since your Gretzky Topps rookies got graded.

I as well have never been a big fan of 62's, but this presentation has reversed that thinking. Such a wonderful display you have posted here. A winning group.👍

The 1962 Topps set in this condition is stunning. Honestly, I don't think I have ever seen a PSA 10 from any year that beautiful. Congrats and thank you for sharing.

Personally I think more of your 1962 cards are deserving of 10's. I would be tempted to crack some out and send them back in to PSA.

Please keep them coming. Your rips have always been fun for me.

I still haven't sold my PSA 7 Jim Brown Rookie yet for a Hellcat! I think the NFL did a poor job handling his passing. He is on the Mount Rushmore of NFL greats! It would be Brady, Brown, Rice, and one defensive player: Lewis, Taylor, White, etc.

Keep the car old school like the Brown!

That car was bad a$$ back in the day, and still is.

Love that Chevelle. I took Uff's advice and I am not selling my Brown rookie yet.

While I love the old muscle cars I need something more modern. I have owned a 70, 340 Cuda, a couple fox body Mustangs, etc. Funny story: when I sold my 2 Fox body Mustangs I gave my friend 2 choices:

Gorgeous stock 92 GT Convertible with leather, etc. just over 100K, but not the fastest car.

Average quality 89 Mustang GT with built motor, and some other parts. He choose the fast one and wrecked it within a couple of months.

    That’s an absolute beauty.
No need for the other two to sign so Roger can stand alone !
Sometimes triple signed is nice, but not on that one. Well done ! Beautiful!

    I'll post the 8's and 9's.
