Great results. Just to put it in context, I hit a grand slam on my recent sub. I got 9s on many white border vintage cards. However, my '62s and '71s still got hammered. When you're getting 9s on those cards, you have some pristine cards.
I had to look at the PSA scans on that one. I don't see much. Front is blazing and the back has minor artifacts, a little centering offset, and maybe shows minor touching on the bottom corners.
It has required all of my will-power to not skip ahead in the cert DB to see what's coming.
Amazing the grader is penalizing these for being a smidge off L/R. If the centering standard for a 10 is 50/50 all around, just post that as the standard PSA.
Thx for sharing these. Amazing cards. Some will end up as 10s through reviews I imagine but it’s ridiculous you have to play that game.
A TEAM MASTERPIECE of the 1961 New York Yankee World Series Champions complete with stats on the back highlighting the 61 Season Homes Runs by Roger Maris.
One of the most beautiful vintage cards I have ever held. Mic Drop......

Does this card pull beat Jim Brown RC pull?
Nothing ever beats the Brown!!! I think of that pull a lot!! It's still vivid in my head!! An almost out of body experience.
These 62's shown beat all odds though. 62's can look so terrible and yet so stunningly beautiful when in high grade. Super touchy cards and VERY exciting when they surface!!
I agree Chris (2nd in from left)…Mantle is the player I was referring to next to Casey (3rd in from left) main row #1. (Not counting the row of two batboys)

PSA lists 9's at 750$ this card must be worth at least 7500$ (or more) in PSA 10. Beautiful card!!!
Been in hobby for 40+ years and never seen such pristine 1962 cards...seems factory just changed their ink that day they printed them....The Yankees card definitely is HUGE being only POP 1 and their championship season...PS I use to sell to Hal Steinbrenner and Dimitri Young (I sold Dimitri his 1981 PSA 10 Harold Baines) back about 20 years ago..They may have made executive presentation sets of 1962 but not sure...I know they made them for 1963...sets had extra gloss if i can remember right...keep on rocking those dream pack pulls!

Weirdly, I think both the 8.5s look better than the 9.
You were robbed!
All three (3) 62s are PSA-9 worthy…
POP 11 - NONE HIGHER

Great stuff! I'm amazed by the centering.
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
More to come tomorrow
POP 5 - NONE HIGHER
Nice Charlie Smith…showing the big hits now.
C'mon, PSA give that thing a 10!
Agree….what is needed for a PSA-10? So pack fresh…the ink is still wet.

I love this thread so much. Always something awesome to see.
POP 9 - NONE HIGHER
Looking at the quality of these 3rd series 62s….I wish Chris that you would have pulled a Mantle.
Me too!!!
POP 6 - 1 HIGHER
POP 3 - 1 HIGHER

@80sOPC - Thanks and agree!!
3 more cards to share.
such a tease...
POP 8 - NONE HIGHER
why is this card not a psa 10?
TWO MORE CARDS TO GO - BOTH ARE SIGNIFICANT TO THE 1962 SET AND BASEBALL
you better not have a mantle to show us.
POP 21 - 1 HIGHER
I've had the honor of holding some incredible vintage rookie cards and I can honestly say this card is "mind-blasting" !!!
Wow on Alston, Torre and Roberts. Truly gorgeous cards.
ONE MORE TO GO !!!
Chris…
Are your plans to keep these incredible 62s…or consign these??
Wait a minute…there’s one more. Gaylord Perry?
POP 1 PSA 10

Must be a 1/1 PSA-10?
OMG….how many zeros?
Stunning!
Does this card pull beat Jim Brown RC pull?
Sweet Lord!
It's the singer not the song - Peter Townshend (1972)
OMG Monte - It's like a PSA 10 on STEROIDS!!! So glad you and others can be on this ride with me. Through the bad and the good!!
I see Yogi at the end of row 2…is that Mantle next to Stengel row 1?

Yeah YOGI stands out BIG TIME. My thought is Mantle is 2nd one in from the Left first main row, but could definitely use some help.

Must admit....living vicariously through this sequence gave me a woodie. Well played.
Gobble.

I bet it would top $10K.
