The grader you got is the same guy who left Aaron, Mays, Seaver, Schmidt, etc. off of his HOF ballot just because it was their first year of eligibility.
Seriously, on the Tony Esposito, what is the rational for it NOT being a 10? Is there some form of surface or back issue? Definitely cannot be edges, corners, centering, print marks or registration.
SGC even has 9.5, and they felt it wasn't even worthy of that.
Bottom left corner may have been the culprit.
Wow...seems a bit of a "too strick" grader mood that day...everything depends on mood (stocks market as well)...generally lower batch submissions should even out the mood factor over time...very sweet cards!!!!

Top right corner touched?

I think that's one of the down sides of Fritsch vending. The boxes were probably moved around over the years resulting in some light corner touches. I noticed the same thing with the box ripped on Youtube. Having said that, some 8's wouldn't have been unwarranted.
The 71 Hockey and 75 Baseball look great in the SGC holders!
From the scans it looks like the 75's were pretty accurately graded but 71's look undegraded almost across the board.
Regardless, great cards!
It looks like they're punishing 'diamond-cuts' and dropping by .5 or a full grade even if the worst it measures is still within spec for the higher grade. That's a shame.
The Rice seems like a 6 or 7 due to ink smearing , The carter shoudl have been an 8 seem like it was error.
The angle on the MVP cuts is a bit distracting, still it's something SGC prior to this spring would not have been so harsh on. Makes me think they have been given orders.

Nice hit on the Tony O! Love the three Blackhawks.

1975 Topps Baseball Vending Rip grades. I guess I'll just grade the "fun factor" a 10.
Love the hockey, Esposito and Howe look good!

That Carter should be an 8!
All those 1975s look minty to me

To confirm all of these 75's came from a recently opened vending box. Is that correct?
YES
Based on the hockey cards and 75s…SGC grading seems to be more in line with parent company, PSA.

And you received 6's and a bunch of 7's. INSANITY. You probably can claim you have the best group of PSA 7's in existence.
great 75 topps cards. sgc sure was kind of tough on some cards. 75 is my favorite set of the seventies thanks for sharing.
at least sgc gave you a good grade on the rice i think they were wrong on the carter and ryan those two should have graded a little higher.

If I'm Augustine, Mangual or Scott, I might be wondering why I don't rate a mention on the label.
This thread has been encouraging. Think I'll send me a few cardboards to those SGC folks and give it a go.
Gobble.
Man. Would their printer only print 7s that day or something? Those are crazy grades.
That is insane. Every card the same. Was the box itself a diamond cut?

I think I want 75s in SGC holders now. 😄 Thanks for sharing. I love the look of that Brooks card.
Decades ago I had fritsch send a 1975 vending box to gai directly on my behalf. The box got a 7.5 grade. Guess that matches the card grades too.

The best thing about those 75s is the print clarity and color, especially the Schmidt. To me, that is far more important than perfect corners.
