Shoot I screwed up. I didn’t lol galaxy’s teaser thread it was perkdogs reply to that post that I lol’d.
My bad that ones on me galaxy!
But I blame Aaron stinkin Rodgers for you losing that wager. Is he even competent out there anymore?

i'm like a kid who keeps touching a hot stove repeatedly. about 6 weeks ago i said i was never betting on the Jets again, then i proceeded to do it 2-3 more times and now my finger is almost seared off. i hope this continues until Rodgers' legacy is tarnished. Two field goals in 4 quarters against the Cardinals with all of these supposed badasses on offense. mother f****r couldn't even throw a garbage time TD inside the 10 yard line against Arizona's backups with a few minutes left in the game.

i'm so incensed right now that i don't even know who to be the most pissed off at.......Rodgers, the Jets, or myself 😅

what an unbelievable joke he is and they are

the silver lining is that it was K1 & co. who did the deed. officially ended their season and humiliated their asses in the process.

    rant ovah :D

i'm a firm believer in getting what you deserve, and i -- for about the 3rd or 4th time this season -- got what i deserved

this is just my opinion, but i think Rodgers provides nothing beyond toxicity now. he has Hall, Adams and Wilson at his disposal......household names that are supposedly some of the best players in the league at their respective positions, yet they mustered up two field goals against Arizona in a must-win game.

i watched every second of that game and I'm here to tell you that the Jets got punched in the f*****g mouth from the opening kick. and not once did they fight back. it was as embarrassing a spectacle as you'll ever witness and I cant wait to hear what that tool has to say about it

Rodgers is a completely washed up. shell. of his former self

That team is a dumpster fire, they have great WR's and it's just not getting done and I agree Rodgers should just retire at the conclusion of this season.

@galaxy27 sorry they blew up that parlay man.

Less than 5 minutes before the game I cashed this out, money was on the table and figured a bird in hand was better than 2 in the bush.

Right now I'm glad I did

Good move. Detroit never in it. Giving up the TD right before the 1st half ending was the dagger.

Before this game Goff had 4 interceptions all season. At the moment he now has 9 with a chance to tack on a couple more.

I do hope blue jay wins his bet and despite Goff Detroit still has a decent chance because their defense has been stepping up.

    down to 3

i wish Goff had enough time to throw it to the Texans two more times and then engineer a game-winning drive

how sweet would it be to say i finished off a 6-teamer with a QB who threw 7 picks

I can honestly say I do not f@#$?$#@$#ing believe it. The brotherhood of karma is alive and well. Thanks again everyone for the support. Only was a $5 bet to win $48+, but to win it this way with the last game of the parlay, and down at halftime, was a special score.

Glad you hit that, the amount of money wasn't a lot as you said but it's always nice to finish in the green.

I was thrilled I cashed my parlay earlier when Houston was up 23-6

Tell you the truth I almost put a live tickle on Detroit but the ML was only around +200 most of the time, I missed the point where they were +500 but my buddy on the couch next to me had a big parlay with Houston so I didn't want to root against him.

Big difference between +500 and +200 in that situation. Of course hindsight is always 100%. But considering the fact that the Lions going into that game were the 2nd favorite to win the upcoming Super Bowl, and had a pretty good team last season as well, and must be highly motivated at this point, I'd say that at +500, the odds may have been in your favor, despite the computer not calculating it that way.

However with your Buddy rooting for Houston, it's understandable why you didn't pull the trigger. I would have done the same thing, and not made the bet against a friend having a big parley in play.

Yeah, I would have done it had I felt real strong about it to be honest but I would have kept it to myself without question, I've seen guys that literally have like $25 on a game openly root against a guy with like over $500 hanging in the balance in the opposite direction which is something I would never do and hate to see, I mean we all are out to win but in certain circumstances the right thing to do is take one for the team and hope your buddy makes out.

My second career 25-leg parlay win. 25 legs is the maximum number of legs that the Caesars app allows. I don't watch NCAA basketball, at all. In fact, I'm not sure I've even seen any highlights this year, not even on the local news. There is free money everywhere, you just have to bend down and pick it up! Odds for this 25 legger of heavy, heavy favorites was +538.

Hit on a 25 leg parlay? Holy chit! Good show taking the bookie's money.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but this article details the underperformance of Draft Kings in the recent quarter. They're taking quite the hit on the NFL this year.
    .
    https://www.sportico.com/business/sports-betting/2024/draftkings-earnings-nfl-bettors-stock-1234804175/
    .
If you don't want to read it, the highlights are this.
    .
...shares fell as much as 7% in late trading after the gaming company revised its fiscal 2024 estimates downwards due largely to NFL game outcomes that favored the public. Those results created a $250 million revenue headwind, according to the company’s CEO.Perhaps most notably, however, the company made a series of downward revisions to its fiscal 2024 revenue and EBITDA estimates. Those changes, CEO Jason Robins said in a letter to shareholders, were largely due to NFL games that broke against the sportsbook. These are typically games won by the favorite, as the public tends to put more money behind better teams.

Also, legalized sports betting passed in Missouri 50.1% yes to 49.9% no. It won by roughly 7,000 votes, well within the 0.5% differential where a recount could be requested at the expense of the losing side.

In a bit of irony, Caesars Entertainment was the main financial backing behind the "NO" campaign, as they felt that the new amendment as it was written would be less beneficial to the brick and mortar casino locations than it would be to the online platforms and betting windows that will now be opening up at the pro sports stadiums. The expectation is that Caesars is not going to finance the recount, as in gambling terms, they don't want to throw good money after bad. They are probably going to still lose after the recount, and once it's up and running, they will profit at least somewhat from the new law.

The vote is supposed to be certified by December 5th, I believe. They estimate it will take 6-9 months (damn it!) before it is actually up and running in the state. June 1 is being looked at as the best case scenario, with it taking until the opening of the NFL season as being the worst case for Missouri bettors. Based on how quickly Kansas implemented their sports betting after voter approval, Missourians (me) had been hoping for implementation by late March in time for MLB Opening Day (3 leg MLB parlays! 😆), with the law being written that legalized sports betting absolutely had to be implemented by December 1, 2025 if the bill passed.

Here's a little tip for you: Patrick Mahomes in his career is 11-1-1 against the spread and 10-3 straight up when the Chiefs are considered the underdogs. Your reaction should always be the same as the Mike Tyson advice, "They're giving you Patrick Mahomes aaaaand plus money? You should take Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs with plus money, no matter who they're playing, every time!".

count drills a 25-teamer and i lose on the Jets when i shove the line 3 touchdowns. someone please pour arsenic in my coffee.

i have no problem losing. i do it all the time. but when it happens like this i have to kvetch for days to get it out of my system.

everyone in this forum would've caught this ball. this was just one example of many from that game, but it turned out to be a 400$ drop.

That is an amazing record. I don't recall the Chiefs being a dog this season. Likely won't be the rest of this season.

I dunno, you may be right about Mike Tyson. However to me he should be +1000 in this fight. The fact that he's a lot less than that, certainly means the bookies are showing him some love. Should be a very interesting first round to see what tactics both fighters deploy.

My high school football coach certainly had some Bill Belichick in him. He always used to say when we dropped a pass, "The ball hit him in a bad spot, the hands." Yea, he was a real laugh riot.

Mine was a $100 on a horse race. $20 win,$30 place $50 show on a 5-2 pacer in harness racing. Led by 2 1/2 open lengths in deep stretch. Then broke stride, horse and myself went right up in the air. Ran right out of the money. Still remember the horses name and driver after all these years.

A lot of horse racing fans think the driver may have stiffed the horse. Stiffing horses in harness racing is a science, not even an art. But the drivers would never stiff a harness horse by intentionally breaking it - way too dangerous. The horse likely broke because of the crowd noise.

this may be the absolute kiss of death for steve's team, as my big bets have been calamitous over the past 4 months or so. but i like Philly here for myriad reasons. they're at home, they're riding a 5-game win streak, and they're #2 in rushing offense.

meanwhile, Washington just lost at home, and three weeks ago it took a miracle to prevent another loss at home to the........wait for it.......Bears(!). not to mention they're sitting near the bottom at 28th in rushing defense. Saquon should go CRAZY on them.

at Philly -3.5 with 3 baked into the cake for home field advantage, i'm not understanding why oddsmakers view these two teams as virtually even right now?

i'm going to ignore that and proceed

this may be the absolute kiss of death for steve's team, as my big bets have been calamitous over the past 4 months or so. but i like Philly here for myriad reasons. they're at home, they're riding a 5-game win streak, and they're #2 in rushing offense.

Yep, I like Philly as well.

As dynamic as Daniels has been this season they have been slowing way down the past couple weeks and Philly is in great shape, I love Philly in this

The ML is the smart play to. avoid the last minute theatrics of the dread back door nonsensical cover out of nowhere

I just got off the phone with the sports gods. Yes, I have their phone number.

I asked them to please let Galaxy win his bet, he has suffered enough this season, and deserves a nice win. They didn't make any promises, but did say that they would bring-up the matter at their next meeting.
