For chemistry, how about a 1911 Belgo-Dutch medal honoring Johannes Diderik van der Waals and his extension of the ideal gas law? This piece is probably one of the few that features math right on it... (P + a/V²) = RT/(V – b)
Next theme—how about something featuring another Nobel laureate of any field...

I had to google when I found this token. Not the typical Freemason imagery I was aware of. But this is what google-fu turned up when I entered "Lodge Ancient Brazen Linlithgow". I bought it for the greyhound.
Dr. Pinard was an early OB. There is still something called the Pinard Maneuver in delivering breech babies.
An operative theater, and doing some reading IIRC that was thought to b a delivery too--in a strange position for modern medicine, and her belly is kind of flat even if the kiddo is out. GYN surgery still can look a bit like that 'give me more T-berg' (head down) doing a scope. The depiction of anesthesia is a time frame accurate device. ETA: I found some of my old notes, Dr. Segond was also known for perfecting a particular gyn surgical technique which that could certainly depict (I will leave out the details in case of queasy stomaches). Interesting sidebar, he was also a knee specialist. So, could be an anesthetized forcep delivery or a gynecologic procedure. But knees surgery seems less likely.
One of the children is holding onto a set of delivery forceps.
I've got a few more, but not all the photos are cut/cropped yet.
Next up, allegorical female depictions (ie Britannia, Germania, Marianne, etc) or goddesses.
It's been a while. I couldn't find an Austrian New Year's good luck token, so this will have to do. New theme: A legendary or mythical figure (or a barnyard animal was skipped?)
