The San Francisco Golden Gate Exposition (1939-1940) at Treasure Island:

Obverse:

TREASURE ISLAND
Treasure Island was an artificial island constructed for the Exposition.
It was later turned over to the US Navy during World War II for use as a naval base.
The US Navy sold the island to the city of San Francisco in 2015.
The information I found says the story setting was in the mid 1700's.
The map from the book shows a date of 1754
Therefore I offer up these 8 escudos to satisfy the theme of a coin possibly connected with the Robert Louis Stevenson book Treasure Island.
New theme: A Spanish Colonial MINOR (1/2, 1, 2, 4) pillar or portrait Real/Reales.
?
Isn't the next theme supposed to have a connection to the coin you posted?
I'm all for a tropical bird coin but I don't see one on yours...

Nothing to add, but very cool that when two posted nearly the same time and gave two themes...asian and tropical flower you pulled off both. I had to look up to confirm the chrysanthemum is a tropical flower but google said yes.

This is about one of the weirdest, creepiest, and coolest pieces that I've had. It is a tree, a Christmas Tree in fact, with, you know, a skeleton...
New Theme--Post a piece with a yuletide theme.
That is an unusual item. I have not seen one before. What is on the other side ? Who issued it, and for what purpose ? What size is it.

The closest thing I have is this:
Here's all the information about it from my listing. It's pretty mysterious, with the artist's signature on the reverse not leaving much in the way of clues:
It does have a bit of a Lauchhammer feel, which produced a lot of annual plaques of varying themes in the earlier decades of the 20th century, but this is much much later. Definitely a "Nightmare before Christmas" vibe if nothing else.

Clarification: would anything belonging to someone named "Roman" be considered "something Roman"?

No, that would be something owned by Roman. LOL
