just in case you're unaware, the 1-3 Jets are playing the 1-3 Falcons across the pond this Sunday. i'm sure every Brit can hardly contain themselves. the game starts at 8:30 am CT. keep that in mind, otherwise you run the risk of being "white boxed" at 8:31
I saw something about this game the other day and they mentioned that two Teams with winning records have never played in a London game. that's weird, if the idea is to expand the NFL it might make sense to let potential fans see some of the better Teams.
it took a number of years for this to dawn on me, but when it finally did it was a wtf moment
all of this talk about potential expansion and all we're doing is taking out the trash over there

Because itβs an unfair disadvantage to send contenders to London. Just my theory

Well one thing about the "Raisins" , if they don't mount a comeback tonight - seeing everybody picked them to win, it will have no difference in moving up or down compared to the previous 15 picks.
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
as an aside, i had the Ravens ML tonight. under zero circumstances did i deserve to win that bet. naturally i'll take it, but i have this weird feeling that i can't shake after what i just witnessed
welp, i knew this was going to happen. i'm just surprised it took 5 weeks. the bad news is that i mistakenly gave zippcity credit for a win with his Giants pick this past week. the good news is that he is the one who brought it to my attention. good on you for your honesty, @zippcity
i'm quite sure this will not be an isolated incident, so kindly keep up with your results throughout the season and let me know if there's a misstep
in my defense, it was late and i was revising the standings when the Colts seemingly had that game in hand last night. when i pulled up espn and saw what was transpiring, i left my computer so i could watch the rest of the 4th & overtime. then i had to come back and revise again.
i was super tired and that game flustered me, so i give myself a minor pass
@galaxy27 Youβre the man. This is no easy task. I commend you and Iβm sure everyone is checking to make sure their own scores are correct. This is great group and honestly Iβve never been involved with a more civil group of guys on the internet. Even some private groups are more disruptive. @AFLfan runs a tight ship ( hi Todd) but we kinda police ourselves so he can work on more AFL autographed cards.
BTW. You got mine wrong too. I swear Iβm 100-0. You might wanna check it. π
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
I think of my 30 pick-losses that 20-25 of them have been lost in the last two minutes, as time was expiring or in Overtime. not too many have been really clear cut bad picks of Teams that didn't have a chance. that seems to be the nature of the NFL right now.

You guys are an interesting bunch and I would agree that this board is more civil than some of the private ones I have participated in. Joe, I wish I could add something to the autographed AFL cards. I only need a handful and I have never seen them. But I've been plenty busy enjoying lacrosse cards!
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.
just a reminder for Canes that there's a game in a few hours. and a reminder to both that we're unloading two more sacks of trash on Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday morning in the form of the 1-4 Dolphins and 0-5 Jags. rumor has it that the UK is currently experiencing a shortage of Guinness pints, and that's because everyone who has tickets to that game has already started drinking heavily in hopes that they will have no recollection of actually being there.

Gene Rayburn is jealous, he wants to do your public service announcements too! lol
Gene Rayburn here. i see that one of our esteemed participants is behind bars this morning. i will send Jimmie Walker or Charles Nelson Reilly to the correctional facility to retrieve his picks in future weeks.
expect Kareem Hunt to step up and watch for No.25, Rookie Demetric Felton to get some snaps. his speed and elusiveness might surprise you. I suppose the Browns will probably use more three-tight-end sets than usual and surprise the Cards with their passing to them.

Let's hope - otherwise the game will rely on Baker's arm - Oh Boy!
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
I thought I saw Hunts name on the injury report earlier in the week. Without Chubb that changes things a bit.
I can tell you that there is zero chance Iβd put any money on this game, itβs anyoneβs guess in my opinion how this game is going to turn out.
I like Murray and the Cards but I find it difficult to root against Cleveland, outside of the Bills I wouldnβt mind seeing a winner out of Cleveland for once. The Vikings is another team that the fans deserve some some love but for some reason I just never cared for them one way or another.

I would love to see the Bills win a SB. They are one of several fan bases who really deserve one. Yes, I would put the Browns and Vikings in there too. Jared Allen was one of my favorites, and I really enjoyed watching him when he was a Viking. As for the Bills, they better hurry up and get one while the gettins good. The Pats won't be down for too long.
i said last week that Murray won't get injured often (from running), then right on cue he got injured (from throwing). i think he'll be fine from a passing perspective (he threw a touchdown last week after getting dinged), but if i were the Browns i certainly wouldn't game plan around him taking off much. the Cardinals can't risk further injury. truthfully, Arizona doesn't run the ball effectively and they don't stop it effectively, so if they win it'll probably come from Murray's bum shoulder. i still say Cleveland, at home, even without Chubb.
but the game that fascinates me even more is Cowboys-Patriots. money has come in on NE all week, with the line dropping from -4.5 to -3. bettors are expecting a tight one, and perhaps even Big Bill's first signature W post-Brady.
Dallas has some serious hype going for them and believe it or not this game is going to be a test for them, itβs a huge game for the Pats as well but between the two the pressure is on the Cowboys more so. The Pats need to gain confidence that they can beat a solid team and build on it going forward. Dallas losing to a 2-3 team will knock their confidence down and everyone elseβs if they lose.

I went with the Cowboys as well. We will see if that hype has been warranted in this one. They have the talent but somethings gotta be said about going to play in a place where you haven't won in 34 years.

That Browns - Chargers game was really a good one.

A shoot out! Mayfield played a great game
23-32 305 Yards, 2 TDs - He just didn't have enough time to feed it to Chubb (161 rushing) at the end.

Well I owe Baker some props after talking smack about him in another thread.
Both QBβs balled out! It was an insanely fun game to watch.
