what has happened has been happening for several years now as the Steelers have gotten older and slower while not looking to the future with their draft picks. the Pittsburgh strength in the past was their line play, they could control a game on either side of the ball. for several years they have lost parts and not replaced them while the rest of the Team has aged. I can't really see Roethlisberger playing past this season, their receivers are overrated and as a Team, they don't have much depth.

Big Ben Roethlisberger looked like an old man today, what the heck happened to the Steelers, I used to be able to depend on them. And the Chiefs losing at home, and I stunk it up today!
Yeah DD those 2 games got me also. So hard to pick against the Steelers at home and Chiefs going down in their home digs doesn't happen often either. This is why picking these games is so fun, you never know!
reading some sports reviews this morning, the "pundits" are already criticizing the 49ers for "leaving too much time on the clock" after they scored the go-ahead TD. what a bunch of crap, now 37 seconds is too much time. if you watched the same game I was watching you probably understand that what Rodgers did at the end was an anomaly, not what routinely takes place. the way things unfolded the Packers had made mistake after mistake in that game towards the end, almost assuring that they would lose. it is only by perfect circumstances on that last 37 second drive that they were able to pull out the win.
think about it, they recover a fumble around the SF 30 yard line with about 3:40 on the clock and are unable to run off very much time and score a TD to salt away the win. then they have the 49ers pinned inside their own 20 with a little over 2:30 on the clock and let them move the entire length of the field to score and use almost all the time.....................because they had squandered all their time-outs with some pretty poor clock management.
when the Packers finally get the ball back, they decide that using the middle of the field is the best approach after they had used the sideline-back-shoulder-throw to Adams all game.
by some strange twist, that was all the perfect formula to win the game. really, you can't make this stuff up!!!
this should be a tough week for everyone, there are games with equally bad Teams and equally good Teams on the schedule, along with a few "should be" no-brainers to keep it interesting.
Week four picks:
Cincinnati.
Washington.
Buffalo.
Detroit.
Dallas.
Miami.
Cleveland.
New Orleans.
Tennessee.
Kansas City.
LA Rams.
San Francisco.

Tampa Bay.
LA Chargers.
Thanks for doing this Galaxy! I totally enjoy this! There's still hope for everyone, Perk is rolling! But only a 7 game difference from top to bottom and it's still early. Good luck the rest of the way everyone!

That’s funny but at times the Jaguars haven’t looked half bad. A bad results on a truck play help Arizona and they are able to score points. They’re going to ruin someone’s survivor board eventually

Teams like Jacksonville and the Jets are are a bad thing to have on your schedule the later the season gets. they're NFL Teams no matter how bad they are and the longer they go without winning is the closer they get to a victory. play them early, but don't play them late. that's how the Browns lost to the Jets last season, a few injuries and the COVID-19 pushing everyone to the brink till the Jets finally played a decent game......................whamm-o!!!
it happens more often in College like last week. watch out in the weeks to come as Teams in the Top 10 aren't there anymore.
i've decided that the first-place prize will be any card (from any sport) on eBay up to $100. the winner will tell me what card he wants, then i'll buy it and have it shipped directly to him. then said winner will post the card here for all to see.
it's very early and the gap is only 7 wins, so everyone is still in this thing.

Wow. Very nice of you. It I think we should all chip in and send you something for doing this for 18 weeks. You deserve a nice dinner for 2. I’ll make sure that happens

it's not necessary, but i appreciate the thoughtful gesture. i actually enjoy doing this. i'm involved in contests/gambling up a storm elsewhere, so it actually provides a nice little respite. there's something about sitting back and watching you guys jockey for position like racehorses that i find mildly therapeutic.

I was hoping the Jags won really, Last night was a tough one. I thought at 14-0 they would be ok but that’s why they play 4 quarters
17-0 at halftime is a huge difference psychologically. Being down 3 scores is a huge difference mentally .
Burrow stepped up and proved his salt. I think they were concerned he was a little shell shocked after last years injury but instead he is looking like the best thing to happen to Cincy since Carson Palmer
i would be a hyperaggressive coach in the NFL, but even i would have kicked the field goal there. no wins on the season........on the road..........offense & defense both rolling............and it wasn't like the nose of the ball was sniffing the plane -- that was a legit yard to go.
you've gotta get up 3 scores on them and avoid a momentum-altering play right before half imo
Joe Burrow has thrown some nice passes and "looked" pretty good thus far, but I wouldn't get too excited about him for any "pass the torch" ceremony. if you've watched any of their games it's clear you should see he can be very erratic. fans are excited about him now because of the Pittsburgh game but it was only a few weeks back that he threw two interception on back-to-back plays/drives and three in the game. also, against Jacksonville he was hot/cold against that weak secondary until he started to find success after the half.
idk what i said up above that was remotely humorous
it's just the over analyzing of that game and that play, it's been done on every show/blog/etc. and sort of cracks me up. from what I have read, there was a mix-up on the play with Robinson going to the outside of Lawrence when the play was intended for him to go up the middle(with the ball). just another mistake from a bad Team with everyone willing to blame the HC.
also, your "hyper aggressive" style would be good for NCAA but you'd be gone quickly from most NFL Teams. in most cases, take the FG and go up 17-0 but I find it hard to disagree with Meyer's decision to go for the TD. I sort of lean your way and it's strange that during the last 5-10 more and more Teams choose to go for it on 4th down inside of the 50. it's probably a result of all the "MoneyBall Analytics" that's crept into the NFL.

Anything can happen in the NFL, that's for sure!
He got the crap beat out of him last week and "Old Men" don't heal in a week anymore.
