I can confirm this, it was about as close as you can get, it was between 2dueces and you, and it came down to the final game I think, but you did win because I tried to give you your prize money and you refused to take anything. That was how it went, I remember it like it was yesterday. And then I chained you up and beat you mercilessly and tried to make you take the prize money and you spit on me.

this first week, and maybe the first few weeks, are really a "crap shoot" because of the pre-season format that the NFL and each Team has taken. it'll take some time to evaluate what's on the field, right now all we have to go on is what everyone did last year.

I'm taking a very laissez-faire approach to this.
I'll toss out options, but I'm not going to tell you guys what to do. if you want to announce to the entire table preflop that you were dealt pocket rockets, that's your prerogative. personally, I like to butter my opponents up and then give them a nice bath when they least expect it.
idk if that poker analogy is apropos but it's the best I could do after a long day at the office 😆

all the hype post game is about Brady, but Prescott matched him pretty well. given the caliber of the defenses it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Prescott outplayed Brady. the game wasn't really decided by the last second field goal, but rather by the missed kicks by Zuerlein. had those been made, and they should have, the Bucs would have been forced to try for the end zone at the end of the game.
I thought it was entertaining but miss the running game. as I said earlier, the absence of starters playing in the pre-season doesn't give a good idea of what to expect.
The difference was red zone scores. Dak looked very good ( hate to give credit, but credit is due) but lack of preseason might have been the difference in timing in the red zone.

maybe the biggest play/sequence of the entire game was the "Shaq sack" right before the half. Dallas was at the door of the red-zone and Prescott took a sack(unforgivable at the time and position) which was followed by a 10 yard holding penalty and a 60-yard field goal attempt. that was a brain fart by Prescott, Williams and McCarthy.

This was a huge scoring opportunity for the Cowboys that was squandered.
I would have to go back and watch it again to comment on the details of the series. But I remember thinking that Dallas really needed to capitalize on that drive.
yeah, a chance to score, maybe take the lead and then get the 2nd half kick-off.
