Don't listen to them, it's not too early to start picking long shots.

looks like there are about six "unanimous" picks this week after I think only two in Week One.

6-3 in the early games, New Orleans and Pittsburgh look like they may have been a "Week One Aberration" and the Bengals are, well, the Bungals as they fall to the Bears!!! :p

2dueces 8-2, 8-1 early Sunday games and a loss in that fiasco Thursday.

Vikings found a new way to lose again. They’re running out of creative losses. Might have to start using the same old ways twice

think about it: if not for that ankle tackle by Sorensen on Mayfield the Chiefs might be 0-2.

tough week, I went 8-7 so far with two of the losses being last second Field Goals, one Overtime and the 4th by one-point. so close to 12-3, but you know what they say about horseshoes and hand-grenades!! like I told 2dueces, if I was a bookie I'd be on the verge of suicide every week. I don't know how they can do it. :p

I hope @Brick hits the Monday night game. Not just picks right but smokes a cigar by halftime. I asked Santa to bring my Christmas present early. A drubbing in Green Bay by the Lions.
Like the great Ron White said about diamond advertising.
    β€œDiamonds, leave her speechless β€œ
    Or
    β€œDiamonds, take her breath away”
Why do that say what they really mean.
    β€œDiamonds, that’ll shut her up…..for a minute.”

Green Bay getting trounced to Rodgers.
The Lions, that’ll shut him up… for a week.

Haven't made my picks yet, but this week's picks look a little more clear cut then the last two weeks.
I might end up 2-14 this week after saying this!

  • keetskeets Posts: 25,351 ✭✭✭✭✭

this week's picks look a little more clear cut then the last two weeks.

I felt OK as last week was starting, then I went 9-7 with two of the losses being last second Field Goals, one Overtime loss and the 4th by one point. add to that Joe Burrow throwing three consecutive passes that were intercepted and I could just as easily have been 14-2.

it's a funny game and nearly impossible to predict.

Really? There are 3 games I’m on the fence on and probably will just throw a dart at. That’s the difference between 8-8 and 11-5. Injuries are a key and it’s way too Earl to decide.

Crap - I keep forgetting I can't watch Thursday NFL because it's a premium Dollar channel this year - Last year it was included in my basic cable package - wonder why that is?

I can only imagine how many fantasy players were licking their chops about last nights tasty matchup. Draft Kings offered an β€œOdds Booster” to +200 I think for McCaffrey to rush for over 100 yards. I bet a LOT of people got smashed on that as well.

Gonna wreck a lot of fantasy line ups for a few weeks at least. He’s a 1st round pick. Gonna be hard to replace with a 7th round flex.
PS I don’t play but this is the 2nd year I’ve drafted for my daughter. Her first year w/o me she finished last. Last year I got her to the championship game.

I quit playing this year, I used to do a $1000 between two leagues for years but quit, I don’t even do the $10 weekly fantasy contest with my buddies on Draft Kings. I just cannot stand it anymore.

how'd everyone do today?? I'm at 10-4 with the losses being a bit of a surprise from the Chiefs, a reality check for the Steelers and another last second field goal to sink the NY Giants. maybe I should pick against them next week.

congrats to Joebanzai's Vikings, my 4th loss.

I will say this about the Tampa Bay loss: if the Bucs offense is gonna hinge on 50+ throws from Brady and 10 rushes a game it'll be a long season.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Big Ben Roethlisberger looked like an old man today, what the heck happened to the Steelers, I used to be able to depend on them. And the Chiefs losing at home, and I stunk it up today!

Yeah DD those 2 games got me also. So hard to pick against the Steelers at home and Chiefs going down in their home digs doesn't happen often either. This is why picking these games is so fun, you never know!
