And can anyone recall a past issue from the Mint that went so quickly on to the BST for equal or less than the issue price?

Thank you for the photos! Now I'm more eager to receive my order, but sadly, among my orders, it still is still listed as processing.

Isn’t there any contrast ? Your photo makes everything look orange, fields, devices, tablecloth. I’m curious if there is black and white contrast.

Like my photoshopped version in black and white, a silver would be a great looking, much more affordable coin, especially after even more price increases being put in place Sept 1.

What time in the morning does this usually happen? Or is it totally random?

  • Bought the coin for the mint and like it….the design is different and pretty cool…yeah price over spot is a bit but they have to make the dies, pay the people and distribute…not easy in this market….call me a fool, but I think I am going to keep it and see what happens…buy some gold folks, either this coin or a 1 oz at spot..the world and markets are unpredictable…just my few cents…gold bless……

Some were shipped on Wednesday. I know of one which was ordered after mine with a much higher order # etc... and mine is still processing. I chatted with them, that resulted in zero new information and the standard excuse of "covid-19" AKA the China Virus. Useless Gov't zombies. :(

Watch your words. This is not a political forum. Stick to coins save the rest

No coin in history was ever created/minted by political influence. That's why politics is not allowed on this site.

Ah, EVERY coin in history was created and minted by political influence.

I'm well aware of that, sorry, I couldn't find the sarcasm smiley. :-)
It's too bad we can't discuss the true history of coinage. Too bad there isn't a sub forum for it. If there was, I bet it would be the most visited part of this forum.

Something that I have noticed over time...

When the price of gold (or silver) is at an all time high - that's when you see the most commercials on TV trying to tell you that NOW is the time to buy Gold & Silver.

The opposite is true in housing - once housing markets turn downward is when you see all the commercials popping up on TV from those get rich guys telling you how to flip houses or buy for no money down.

Remember Tommy Vu and those classic Real Estate commercials in the 90's!

“If you're not willing to spend three free hours to learn from a self-made millionaire to maximize your opportunity, you deserve to be broke!”

  • I got mine yesterday and it’s my new favorite coin. The depiction of Liberty bucking a saddle representing British rule as a mustang is awesome and has got to be the most whimsical Wild West design ever IMO. Yeah, $2700 was a lot but worth the price for me. Maybe there will be a silver medal next year.

    I can’t believe there’s actually a new coin design I like.

  • MilesWaitsMilesWaits Posts: 5,380 ✭✭✭✭✭

I agree it is a beautiful coin!
And I think it’s going to be even more stunning in a well-priced PCGS PR69 holder.

    How about a medal?

Good reminder. I now recall 5 different silver versions in 2017 of the 2016-W gold Liberty. There was a MS, W-SP, P-PR, S-PR, and P-rev PR. One can imagine the Mint's revised IT attempts at bucking bots off the website, and the limited product medal variations and certificates that we will be offered for this in the near future.

yes, cynicism warranted, and one thing... they'll mint the crap out of the medals if they sell.

You have to sell for at least $3K, just to break even after eBay & PayPal fees.

If you want first strike it can be opened to inspect it, but you must have it post marked to PCGS before Sept 20th.

  • Still waiting to receive this coin, looks like US Mint got a big problem on shipping, order confirmed on Aug 19th, order status keep PROCESSING almost 3 weeks. Not sure if I have enough time to get the "First release" on NGC. Anyone know the cutoff date of this coin on NGC? I do the research, but didn't get such information on NGC web...So sad!

is that bannable or subject to post deletion? Censorship is a big red flag for me and will probably seek another forum if that's the case.

    No!

The Comment made by @zhangbingnpu is NOT "bannable" OR "subject to post deletion".

According to the https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1016633/pcgs-forum-rules-and-guidelines#latest PCGS Forum Rules and Guidelines webpage, there have been NO violations of the Forum Rules and Guidelines with @zhangbingnpu posting.

Now, @CoinMeister did not write that there was a violation of the PCGS Forum Rules and Guidelines but he did take it upon himself to imply (that's how I read it) that @zhangbingnpu post did not seem to meet "HIS" Guidelines (i.e. Opinion) of "appropriateness"

But in this case, PCGS Forum Rules and Guidelines TRUMP whatever @CoinMeister may feel is appropriate or not.

I guess I raised a few hackles. That was not my intent. It just seemed that you wouldn’t want to go to a Sam’s club and ask about what’s on sale at Costco. I didn’t say it violated any rules. Interesting that I made some get a little testy.

I offer suggest not talking NGC on a pcgs board.

It is interesting, tho, how many NGC questions we get. In a way, NGC discussions here might keep them here not there? Hmm?

(Don’t tell anyone I told you about NGC on a pcgs board, but NGC doesn’t have it online yet)
