@UFFDAH said: @blurryface - I think I may be done buying Luka. I have 2 I think. It's fun to speculate a little. Just cringing at the prices of cards now that I sold in December. An PSA 10 Orange Chrome Durant sold for $115K or so last night to add to the sting. Beer helps numb the sting.
Somehow I think you will be ok Chris with selling a card or two early. Maybe order water with dinner and no dessert to keep the bill down for a while 😉
Trust me I feel the same on a couple of deals. Sold some stuff for 3-4x in a few short months only to see it rise another 4x on top of that. Can’t complain with a nice profit but man what if... 🙄
Won the most games of any pitcher in the 2000s, 3x All-Star, 5x WS Champ, ALCS MVP, #46 Retired by the Yankees, Dabbled with some HGH from time to time...

For the past 15+ yrs, my main focus has been BB board games.
Now, I know this kind of stuff garners very little "love" on a predominantly card forum but I just had to share.
I bought this card game many years ago - Star Baseball Game, Wm. P. Ulrich (owner of the minor league team - The Spokane Indians - which I believe still exists today - at one time they were a AAA PCL team?)
Best we can tell? The game is complete at 56 cards.
Fast forward to this week and I came across a "board" to a game I didn't know existed for the card gameI owned!
A great find indeed.
The fact that it comes in the original packaging? A bonus for any board game collector.
Nice find Mike. We know how much you love your board games. That is a crazy collection you have amassed with them. Have you ever taken a photo of all of them at one time?
Hiya Keith
Good to see you buddy.
No.
Games are in 2 closets full of shelves and spread out in the room.
How's the family? How old is Keith now?
Thanx Jeff - that's what attracted me to games along with the graphics.
I've been lax in posting my pickups from both Jan & February, so I'll need to break it into 2 posts. First, the Yaz stuff. I've been hunting the right copies of the 2 graded cards for a while. Please excuse dust on the scanner.
Next, another Yaz bottle cap. I had a couple of different Coke caps, but this is my first Sprite cap of Yaz:
Lastly, a fun oddball item, a golf bag tag. I've seen these around, but always overpriced. I'm happy with what I paid for this one:
My other pickups in the past 6 weeks or so have all been Gino Cappelletti. I really dove down the bottle cap rabbit hole in regards to him! I estimate a Gino "master set" of bottle caps at 30-ish different ones. These 6 pickups bring me up to 10 different Gino caps. There are knowledgeable collectors on CU, so I won't bore you with details about the caps below, some of which are labeled anyways. But if you want/need more information about all the different 1963-66 Coca-Cola Co. caps that are out there, just reach out and I'll refer you to some resources.
The last, unlabeled cap is from the 1965 AFL All-Star set.
For those of you unfamiliar with Kevin Pasley... I mean Dale Murphy.. Back to Back NL MVP 1982 and 1983, 7x All Star, 5x Gold Glove, 4x Silver Slugger, HR and RBI Leader, Roberto Clemente Award.. He is also a published author, pretty amazing!
4x All Star, WS Champ, 8x Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, Cardinals HOF, One hell of an outfielder, I always remember him making spectacular catches, Giving Jr a run for his money as one of the best defensive Center Fielders of his time. Marlins Inaugural print run of 6,000.
Superb card! Congrats with winning the PWCC auction!
Sure looked like a battle royale last night.
Carew has flown under the radar for a long time, overshadowed by Seaver.

Picked up some REALLY nice ‘71’s recently, but I’m listed excited to see this in a holder! Pic doesn’t do justice, but really feel like this has a SOLID chance at a 9!
2x All-Star, ALCS MVP, WS Champ, 4x Gold Glove, 2x NL Stolen Base Leader. Spent 3 seasons with my Brewers, those were some tough years back in the late 1990's....
I love a perfectly centered 1990 Topps Tiffany front.
Great card! I started collecting in 1976 and really wanted that Nolan Ryan card. Opened packs all summer looking for him, only to find multiple Mike Mileys, Bobby Grichs, and Andy Etchebarrens.
When prices are going crazy on the mainstream stuff, it makes me get more creative in my pickups. Grabbed a deck of cards from best guess somewhere in the 1928-1935 range just to get the, bad pun intended I'm guessing, "Four Aces of Clubs ...
Hopefully, I'll be able to narrow down the year further, but if not still a sweet card IMHO. Issued by French, Shriner, & Urner shoemakers.

i do not know if ive ever seen that one, kyle! very cool
Man @erba awesome stuff! My team is the Sox and my 2 fave players are Yaz and Dwight Evans, so there’s a lot there for me to like. You also made me kick myself, because I went to an event a couple of years ago where both Carlton and Tiant were signing and I didn’t even think to have them both sign the same card!
Thanks guys. I've got a bunch of multi signed cards. I have even more that I need to finish! Slowly getting them slabbed. I usually just scroll through checklists to see what's out there. If it's something I know I can complete, I will pick one up and get to work on it. I posted a bunch that I got back from the same sub in the hockey thread. I didn't want to double post them.
Non-sports autos and sketches just back from Newport Beach. I blame my daughter for the recent Sesame Street kick that I've been on, but honestly I'm still a fan nearly 40 years later.

I'm pretty sure this is the first appearance of Sesame Street on this forum, at least as long as I've been a member. I'm digging your flair for the unusual.
Love those Carroll Spinney sketches. I wish I got him when he was still alive. He’s from my home town. I do have a handful of Disney sketches. Those will have to do.
I'm not a big autograph guy (and Gordie Howe autos are not hard to come by) but I thought this one was really stunning for ball point pen on a card...don't see many in pen at all and almost none better quality or better placed than this one. Pretty excited to have it.

Some of the cards I submitted in the dual grade sub. Nothing earth shattering, but I do like to collect multi signed cards.
These are awesome.
Great stuff! I love 80's Fleer dual signed cards, some real gems in there.
