one of my favorites
Thanks for posting. This coin was sitting in a pawn shop's cases for at least 12 years! They always wanted too much. Late summer I cleaned out their 90% silver which was still priced low enough as it had not been updated to make significant money. I got tired of looking at this PCGS $5 gold coin in their cases and bought it and cac approved it.
I just photographed my Indian quarter eagle collection with the idea of creating a display picture like yours...very nice.
Holy moly there needs to be a love button, like isn't doing it.
My only 2 so far they where one of my goals for 2020 to buy two $5 US gold coins per year. I have other focuses but enjoy this very much.
Nice bunch of N.O. gold!!

I don't know enough about this stuff just yet but, it looks like Pedzola just took the lead.
There are many on the forum who could easily "take the lead" - but I am pretty happy with my green themed set (1 to go).
Searching for coins to complete the OGH/CAC gold type set, and photographing them, has been a nice distraction in 2020.
One more, unrelated, for good measure...

Your killing me man
I love the way gold looks in old green holders especially when the coins are as well matched as the Pedzola set....

Nice Denver gold... For all the U.S. gold I own, I have none!
So if this is only a MS64 I'd like to see the 6 different grades above this one... undergraded IMHO. Love it!

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I don’t have any pics of my raw gold. Here’s a few more slabbed shots.

There’s plenty to drool over for a while. Can’t wait to feel the weight of a full ounce. And I was surprised at how heavy the $5 piece feels.
I’ll be hunting the $10 next though.
I see why, it’s beautiful and hopefully it isn’t made of unobtainium.
I feel like this might be just one of your low end pieces. Quite a catch nonetheless.
Say it ain't so!
