One of my all time favorite gold coins. A Peruvian history lesson in your hands. Minted in Cuzco a gateway to Machu Picchu If you ever get a chance to go there ... do it....it's surreal.

Sorry, not US gold, but this 4 escudos is unique with this single example documented dating back to Jose Toriba Medina in the early 1900’s, passed to Norweb, Rudman and MrE.
What would a unique US Eagle be worth?
I agree with you. It is amazing the layers of interest that are more intellectually appealing on the dark side but doesn’t translate into demand necessarily. I have always been fascinated by Russian circulating platinum coins. Made right after they discovered the metal and then recalled and mostly destroyed. Took me years to find a good one all for around the price of a 1927 ms61 saint in an newer crappy ANACS holder.

Wish I could give a "Agree" and a "Like". If there is one place that should be on everyone's bucket list it should be Peru with a trip to Machu Picchu. I suggest you go while young and in good health and you'll get a lot more out of the trip and I suggest you go soon because the diverse culture is rapidly disappearing with the younger generations seemingly want little to do with the old ways.
Beautiful coin by the way, I like it a lot.

I Gotta tell ya ... these are some awesome photographs. Many of you people who shoot these photographs are ( IMO ) the best in the world.

@TurtleCat The '26, she has eye appeal
It sure does! It’s graded only 64 but I think it’s a sure fire CAC if I was able to submit it.

I didn't even know what it was and then found a 64 on a google search that doesn't look as good. Send it!
