I just captured these photos this week of the Largest Gold Nugget in the World as on display at "The Gold Nugget" Casino on Fremont Street in Las Vegas.
Finally able to read the inscription now that it is displayed on my computer. For those on smart phones here are some of the salient points. Weighs 61 pounds, 11 ounces; Discovered via a metal detector in Australia in 1980; Buried six inches below ground in an upright position as is now mounted.
Assume "The Hand of Faith" nomenclature refers to the hand like shape of the nugget.

My latest purchase...the first CC mint piece to add to my gold type collection. My simple quick pics and the sellers pics. Very happy with it.
Personally prefer gold coins that I buy from my LCS which can be held, touched and felt etc. but the following are in slabs because they were online purchases
Yeah ...... it's fully P/L which isn't captured well in the image. It's one of those coins that practically jumped out of Legends case at the PCGS Vegas show last May. Another one of those coins I didn't know I needed until I saw it in hand.......

It’s a great date- and like you I didn’t know I needed it until I needed it! Seems like we have similar tastes.
My LCS guy just wanted to move this one and offered it to me for a tiny bit over melt, so into the bullion can it goes. 1784 half Guinea that’s not in great shape.

Wow! @Wahoo554 that one is really pretty.
Thanks!
I just bought this original beauty today. I paid over PCGS value guide but I think it’s worth it.

Seems like we’ve got a run of 1834’s going on!
My modest 1834 pales in comparison to what has been shown. I like it though.
Also, took a new pic of some type sets to pass the time during the last snow storm.

Arranged to buy this while at FUN, although the dealer wasn’t!

This one came with a 1/1,000 of an ounce gold back. I guess that means I get a free ounce after about 2,000 ounces, LOL.
One day…
Edit. Was having a hard time spelling speechless 😶
I haven’t shown this in a long time. Special because it was what I won here from our hosts…
