I thought the 1996 and back service was slow. I sent 17 cards in just for auto verification no grade arrived 8/10. Entered 9/2. 11/21 still in research and Id. $30 a card level.
I think their research department for autos must be slow. I also have one sitting in Research for over a month now. It's at the same $30 level. An order I shipped to them in same box has already been completed and returned to me.
Just submitted my very first item for grading, a Sidney Crosby debut ticket going through using Super Express. I hope it doesn't take forever to get back. Very curious about how it'll grade.
Anyone submit cards in person at the National under the National special ? Dropped off a bulk vintage order and it’s been stuck in grading for ages, anyone having a similar experience? Has been over 4 months now since these were handed over to PSA.
I didn’t sub at the national but did have 4 national specials. 2 vintage and 2 modern. Both modern and the smaller vintage are back. Last was early ivtiner. My large vintage order of 100+ cards is still in grading also.
I've been noticing that modern orders seem to get processed and returned very quickly but anything with cards pre 1980 seems to be stuck in grading. Maybe they are still working on training enough graders on vintage cards? I'm okay with waiting a little longer to make sure they are properly graded.
I agree with that! The “vintage” sub I had returned was graded very well. 1975-1991 results are posted a page or two earlier. I’m okay waiting if grades are consistent and accurate.
My 2nd, and final, National Vintage submission popped last night. Pretty nice grades of mostly 7-9s on a bunch of 70s (few 80s) with a few random 4s thrown in just to keep things weird.
Entered August 15th. I thought one of those Boggs might get a 10, but no luck. Also, surprised at all the 8s for the football, because I was expecting lower.

My last national special moved to assembly this morning. 131 cards. Rec'd 8/9 and entered 9/2. Excited for this one though not in any particular hurry for these as they are almost all NFL HOF rc's and of the 131, 41 will be net-new to my HOF set and maybe a couple of upgrades as well. Should be a fun sub, a mix of 1955-1995. Will share grades once these pop. Happy Friday!
A $15 bulk special arrived 12/2. Grading 12/7, assembly today. I can't believe it is going to bed done before a value sub delivered in the same box but can't complain about that speed. I've had value orders getting through way faster than econ too which has been great for stuff I want to buy/grade/flip to pay for the stuff I want to buy/grade/keep.
Sent in 9 separate subs in one order, arrived 11/28. A little bit of everything- express, regular, value modern, value vintage, crossover, review, tickets, PSA/DNA, etc... Five of the card orders have hit grading (even the value subs), still waiting on regular, DNA regular, DNA ticket, and ticket grading to come out of Research. Surprisingly, the Express sub has been in grading for well over a week and it's just a single card.

Grade posted! I'm not sure if I want to check or wait for the package to arrive. Not bad, 11 days from arrival to grade posted.
Had to look, they gave it an 8! I'm happy with that, it's above what I was expecting.
I have 0 in regular card grading. But I did give Pack grading a try lately.
Prime Pack service. Been super fast so far.
Rec 11/15. 2 days ago it went into grading. And this morning I see its now in assembly.
Also they entered them the next day after they received them along with 2 other orders. Those are still in Research but they are the lower level pack service.
Not bad!!!
What's the usual timeframe for a submission from showing Shipped and the grade being posted, to the item actually shipping? Will I get an email with a tracking number?

If it says shipped, your grades should be available. The actual generation of the tracking number is usually within a day, sometimes two.
Express Order (1 card)
Arrived: 11/9/22
Entered: 11/11/22
Shipped: 12/15/22
If any PSA employees read these boards and specifically this thread, it may be worth updating your submission page (below) by switching the word ‘calendar’ back to the word ‘business’

Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
I got an email from PSA that my order should be completed in January and is eligible for the January Goldin auction. This is the first time I have received an email with an estimated completion date and that my submission is eligible for Goldin. I guess not all submission are eligible.

I'm curious what your submission was for. Modern, Vintage, ...?
PSA should be doing this on everyone's orders just to get their Goldin Auction to have more items, because it's seemed a bit light lately compared to some others. Maybe they have a specific year-range they're targeting though.

The email actually stated it’s Goldin’s new marketplace to launch in January. I’ve never heard on their marketplace. Maybe it’s like eBay. I have one vintage and one modern order.

Grades just popped from the National special. Dropped off in person at the end of July. Happy overall other than the wait time. Some nice 72’s in here.
Why are the National Specials so slow? I have a one of their specials from December that got entered 12/29, and it’s in Assembly already. I would have thought the National ones would all long be completed by now. 🤷♂️

I don't know how there are still subs out there from this. I sent in 4, all delivered 8/6. Grades popped 10/11, 10/12, 11/1 and 12/15 and the 12/15 sub was >100 vintage cards. I have a value sub entered 12/30 that is assembly already and a $15 special that was entered 11/19 that popped today.
Glad to see that I'm not alone waiting on a CRC order that, even during the middle of the backlog, was processed much faster than it has been treated in the last few months. Mine was logged May 4, still in Grading hold...

Just so we are on the same page- those CRC are all QA damages

Hey Jeff,
Are you still waiting on your damaged card CRC cases logged in May/June/July? I'm still staring at a May 4 entered date for a CRC case and info@psacard.com has gone silent on my request for an update...
CRC since May? I have one I sent in October that hasn’t done anything. It is a damage research request. I have another 3 card label correction I sent in Dec. do those CRC usually take 8+ months? I probably wouldn’t have bothered if I had known that.

Yes. And its been brought to the attention of the appropriate parties in upper management. I'm confident they''ll address the issues involved and make necessary process improvements.
It's been a few years since I sent a submission in. My regular order was received on 09/07 of 10 vintage cards, was in research since Oct 07th, finally in assembly today, how long have orders been in the assembly stage? Thanks Daryl

In 2021 CRC reviews took about 2 months from entry to shipping...8 months is a sign of how much more damage they did to cards in the last year or so, they must have thousands if not hundreds of thousands of cases to go through, each needing pricing research for compensation and phone calls made to the customers. I don't think this fit in to their workflow planning at all.
I think you're spot on with that assessment. I've had probably 4-5 cards out of ~1000 graded over the last two years that had damage. Only one was really worth pursuing the CRC path. I asked about estimated turnaround and was basically told they couldn't guess. So what was a perfect blue scope Herbert rc that was around $700 at the time, sits in an Ex-5 holder in Newport Beach awaiting some kind of resolution while the Chargers head to the playoffs.

My CRC holder correction arrived 12/5 and shipped 12/29. Came back in the wrong holder again but at least it was quick. I will just leave it as is at this point
That’s just comical but so frustrating. I sent back 3 label corrections. The spec#’s have been corrected so they cards could be added to the correct sets in the registry but two said “autograph” and there was no autograph on the card. The other was a variation that was missed by both myself and PSA.
Different experience: CRC Lane 1 order Arrived 7/20/22, Entered 7/26/22, shipped 1/11/23. Was a 1978 TCMA Knoxville Knox Harold Baines PSA 9 that I picked up already PSA graded on ebay like 11+ years ago. I likely never verified the cert when i bought it, but around 5 years ago I did and it came up as "Cert has been disabled, contact PSA customer service". So I contacted Customer Service, got the instrucitons and finally sent it in. Never got the story such as possibly stolen, original submitter is known trimmer or counterfeiter, or maybe the original grader was shady or just a lousy grader, etc. Who knows. But I was nervous for a while. Now happy it passed muster, I didn't lose it, and they even politely re-slabbed it for free keeping the PSA 9 grade and the cert is the same and is now active. Other than the shipping costs and wait time, still a happy camper as it's a tough card and has appreciated nicely since I purchased it (inclusion right or wrong to the HOF helped of course).
How does CRC mess up a label a second time? When you submit the request, don't they confirm what the mistake is and what it should be?
I just sent one off today. When I got the e-mail from them confirming the correction and the instructions for sending in the card, it clearly stated the corrected label name. So I expect it will show that when they return it.
Mine wasn’t labeled wrong. Just the cert # was disabled. Was worried they’d say was previously reported stolen, trimmed, etc. It worked out. My fault for not checking cert before purchasing

I agree on the slow Vintage grading.
My National special submission that was received July 29 hit Q1 yesterday.
My Modern special submission that was received November 10 hit Q1 today.
I just had a quick and easy PSA/DNA experience. No problems and fast turnaround (for my standards anyway).
This slab is so huge!
Wow, giant slab! Very cool with all those signatures.
How long did yours take in the research phase?
It was probably a solid 5 weeks in Research & ID.
Yeah, I'm seeing the same with one of mine. Just one item for PSA DNA, but it has been sitting in Research & ID since October 13.
My 2nd, and final, National Vintage submission popped last night. Pretty nice grades of mostly 7-9s on a bunch of 70s (few 80s) with a few random 4s thrown in just to keep things weird.

I got the same email. I doubt it happens though. Just think they sent that email to everyone with orders in the cue.

@1951WheatiesPremium well what was it? 😁

I've recently just started dabbling in modern. Some hits and misses, but some of the hits are good ones.

Grades just popped from the National special. Dropped off in person at the end of July. Happy overall other than the wait time. Some nice 72’s in here.
Nice on those 72 high numbers!

Great job! You beat me. July 16 date and still in QA1. It's been stuck there for 6 weeks now.
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
Why are the National Specials so slow? I have a one of their specials from December that got entered 12/29, and it’s in Assembly already. I would have thought the National ones would all long be completed by now. 🤷♂️
I don't know how there are still subs out there from this. I sent in 4, all delivered 8/6. Grades popped 10/11, 10/12, 11/1 and 12/15 and the 12/15 sub was >100 vintage cards. I have a value sub entered 12/30 that is assembly already and a $15 special that was entered 11/19 that popped today.
Are any of them vintage? Mine is and PSA seems to care less about anything but modern.
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
Hey Jeff,
Are you still waiting on your damaged card CRC cases logged in May/June/July?

Assembly to qa1 is typically quite fast, no more than a few days, for all but bulk submissions. For bulk those can be weeks between assembly and qa1
