I have a PSA DNA order for dual service that logged into the system on 1/14 and it has been at QA1 for a good month. Right now at 3 months and 10 days. Memories of the sub time before the big shutdown, LOL.

    BUYING Frank Gotch T229 Kopec
Looking to BUY n332 1889 SF Hess cards and high grade cards from 19th century especially. "Once you have wrestled everything else in life is easy" Dan Gable

ALL my vintage orders are stagnant BUT all my 82 Hockey and mid 80s flew thru

I guess my post loosened things up, I went to assembly today on my vintage $15 special. I've got another one sitting here and a modern HOF RC sub but I'm waiting for something better than $19. Hopefully soon...

Can you post for me next? :D

Mine is still stuck in Grading purgatory.

On a side note, I am really hoping for some kind of set registry special soon. I have so many cards for the all-time sets that I’d love to send in but $15+ just isn’t worth it. I have 150+ cards just hanging out and hoping for something. Maybe someday.

Still paying for all the expansion plans is why we don't see set registry specials

Strangely I got back my first few player / set registry stuff in 18 months last sub
All I'll say is the grading is fairly accurate ,but my eyes are becoming "consistently inconsistent"
Think its time for stronger readers ( or maybe I should stop the "rush entry" on all the subs and check stuff first)

I'll post a few slabs- this sub needs some pics

I missed a highly obvious back corner issue on the PSA 7 below
I expected three 8 and a 9 so pleased with the results
Carried these Die-Cut around 20+ years so I lowered my expectations
    Besides I got more around

Just sent in a couple subs back in early July. Arrived and haven't moved in 2 weeks. Are we back to another backlog leading into the Nationals?

  • RonSportscardsRonSportscards Posts: 952 ✭✭✭✭✭

My last sub took a long time to move from Arrived to Order Prep, but then really flew through the other steps.
    Good Luck.

My July Special sub just hit Arrived today. We'll see how it goes.

Anyone know what shipping service PSA is currently using if you select the generic return shipping option and provide a residence (ie. not a PO Box)?

I have a Fed Ex account, but PSA gets better rates on the quicker services.

  • HarnessracingHarnessracing Posts: 425 ✭✭✭

    It’s Fed Ex

  • shawthershawther Posts: 284 ✭✭✭

Anyone have much movement? I have 12 submissions there currently. Most are in grading. Been at PSA for almost 2 months. Not complaining, just trying to get an idea.

I have 4 there now and three more going out today.

Vintage bulk entered 7/24 in grading since 8/1
    80’s special entered 8/17 grading since 8/23
    90’s special entered 7/24 qa1 since 8/24 - Grades popped 8/30/23
Value plus (20 day) entered 8/17 grading 8/18

  • 19591959 Posts: 631 ✭✭✭

Received by PSA 5-28 now in stage 4. Grading. But the way they are grading vintage , I am in no hurry to get them back.

  • BBBrkrrBBBrkrr Posts: 1,313 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have 2 trios of subs sent in on the 80s special. One set went into Grading before the National, and the other 3 went in today. I expect both back sometime in October based on previous subs.

I'm sending in 2 more submission groups on the 60s special later this week.

99 card value sub just popped.
Entered 7/24, grades 8/30. Pretty great turnaround time. Got some nice 10's and a couple other upgrades to my HOF/Future/All-time sets.

Opened a 94 sp box and sent in 2 bryant young and 3 faulk. Got 2 9's on Young and a 10 on one of the Faulks so those will upgrade my 8 and 9 respecively. Also got a 10 on a Russell Wilson, DeAndre Hopkins, Luke Kuechly and JJ Watt topps chrome that I needed as well.

Unfortunately I sent in yet another 93 SP Bettis and got yet another min-size. I don't know what the issue is with them. This one I pulled from a box. The 3 Lynch I sent in all got 9's and the Elam got a 10 but I cannot even get a Bettis into a holder. I'm building up a nice stash of raw un-gradeable versions for some reason. Also got my 6th 9 on a Gronk. Took me 9 tries for Kelce, Gronk seems to be in lock-step. Overall, pretty happy.

Thanks. I feel your pain! A lot of these topps chrome and mid-90's SP stuff elude me as well. I literally have 5+ of some of these guys in 9's and can't get a 10. Most of what I sent was picked up raw at local shows over the last 6-9 months. I have a box full of topps chrome and sp cards for various team sets but in 9's they just aren't worth spending $15-19 on grading so I'd have to hit more 10's and I'm convinced I don't have the eye to find 10's in those sets. The 93 and 94 SP on this sub were pulled from boxes I cracked a couple months ago. I have a couple more of everyone to send in but didn't want them all on one sub.

    It just reached Assembly.
Weird how some subs pass other subs in the process.

I have 21 orders there, 7 since 6/1, all in grading. 5 others from early August in grading , 9 others there since 8/6 and 8/24 in level 1. 24 days and not logged in. That’s just not right

@envoy982 I still do not have anything higher than an 8 for his base TC card but I will have to pass for now. I have had to make some big purchases recently and have put off buying any cards for a couple months. I may contact you after the holiday season. Thanks and congratulations on the hit!

Just got my oversize sub of 5 x7 cards popped from the special a few months back
The Nomars are PC rest goes you know where

I do have the Buehler Top Registry guy already in line on my Walkers :)
Even taking care of these oversized cards from purchase to sale- 8's are normal, 9 and 10's tough
    Happy overall with the sub
You can get good pics by just cert checking the certs but my scanner does better so I'll scan when they get back btter pics

    OK.
Thought I would share my latest results with a 1960s Special. 88 cards total.
Either I got a normal computer(grader) and not a computer(grader of death) that shreds the cards. Grades were about average like they should have been. No big home runs but just average grades. Still plenty of 6-7s but I did get a few 1960s 9s. Also one card came back as trimmed. Its been graded by PSA and SGC 3x so I hope the computer does not forever think its trimmed now. Overall it was a sub I will open and not throw in a corner. Thanks PSA
    Sept8-Jan12 was the timeline.

  • envoy982envoy982 Posts: 371 ✭✭✭

Was that a 60’s “special” or vintage bulk? I’ve had slightly faster turnaround on my vintage bulk subs so that’s why I ask. Sounds like the grades were good. I’ve heard a lot of “vintage 9’s and 10’s are a thing of the past” so good to hear you got some good hits.

  • handymanhandyman Posts: 5,366 ✭✭✭✭✭

Just 60s special all cards were 1960-69

    PSA's 65 Day estimate :) .......
Is nothing much more than soiled toilet paper - why even take the time to write it down on your Submissions Page!!
My 50 card vintage order arrived out west on September 21 and after 123 days and counting,
Its wallowing in Assembly (let's be fair, though - there is a check mark next to Assembly) :s

    Given their posted Estimate
I was hoping for Thanksgiving, ~65 Days....
Then hoping for Christmas - 90 Days.....
Maybe my next "hope" is Valentines Day - 141 Days....

Just got Grades popped on 2 of the 70s Holiday Specials and the 50s from earlier in the year is still in Assembly. Very odd.

(Grades were pretty good on the 2. Mostly 6-8 with several 9s thrown in, so I'm happy. These were some I'd had since the 80s and others from 72/73/74 sets I bought about 5-6 years ago)

Since you said you were happy with the results, I'm saying 10s for both. 😁

But really...the top one looks a little better so 9 and 8.
