@stevek I think Philadelphia rights the ship today against the Rams. Not sure why I have so much confidence after 8 sacks and Aaron Donald coming to town. Isn’t much of a stretch after today the NFC East has two 1-1 teams and a couple of 0-2 teams. Matt Ryan will have a huge day and sink Dallas to 0-2.

I'm going against both those predictions. Dallas wins and Philly loses.

    That boy is a genuis!

Chiefs somehow squeak by the Chargers, mainly because the Chargers defensive line
was really wore out in the 4th quarter, especially Bosa. And KC has the best kicker in the league.
Butker had to drill a 58 yarder for the tie, then a 53 yarder for the win which was called back
because of a false start, then he drilled a 58 yarder for the win which didn't count because SD
called timeout right before he kicked it, then he drilled a 58 yarder for the win. Drilling and game over.

that frigging kicker needs an extension !

As someone suffering through the Patriots kicking situation the past few years , this guy Butker is nails lock him in for 10 years , best kicker and best QB is a great combo

My favorite story of the day is the weird sightings of Brett Favre walking around Raymond James stadium wearing a Tom Brady Buccaneers shirt. Everywhere you turned, there was Favre. He was all over the place. He had on a Tom Brady Buccaneers shirt. It was weird.

The Chargers went into the “prevent defense” at the end of the game. I call it the “perverted defense.” Unless you are ahead by a couple of touchdowns, that is recipe for losing. You can not let a star quarterback like Mahomes sit back there with no pressure on him. He will cut your defense to ribbons. The Chargers had Mahomes back on his heels early on when they were pressing.

Damn great comeback to end it like that. :#
Should have spread everyone out then Cam would have likely had to deal with just 1 or2 defenders on his run.

Well the Pats looked offensively better than I thought they would. Brady looked “Ok” The fact that the Atlanta coach is still running g the Falcons is laughable. Eagles are terrible, glad the Giants lost again. That’s all I have to say about yesterday

Went to watch the games at a local spot, place was packed. Falcons, Bears, and Pitt bar, tons of people. Falcons just stunk it up.

What's the over/under on kickoff drills today for the Falcons this week? Unfriggin believable nobody jumped on that ball...right in front of them. We deserved to lose.

  • BillJonesBillJones Posts: 33,984 ✭✭✭✭✭

I couldn't believe the Atlanta players, standing there like a bunch of cigar store Indians watching the on-side kick roll around before it went 10 yards when all they had to do was pounce on it. Don't they know the rules? I guess not. The coarch was too dumb or poorly versed in them to instruct them.

Tough call. I mean NFL offensives are like video games now anyways so probably a little of both. For now

its friggin awful :D , the seahawks were marching up and down the field all night getting 1st downs on 1st downs or 2nd and 3 whatever. The only time they didnt was that idiotic deep pass on 3rd and 1 at the end.

Well that’s what happens when Bill the GM decided against signing Van Noy and Jamie Collins. Oh and also when solid Patriot players abandoned the team due to Covid.

    After 2 weeks a perfect +500.
A few early thoughts. The Eagles cannot start 0-3 can they? If they were in a division with Kansas City, Baltimore or even Green Bay I’d say their chances at a playoff spot were about 10%. But they aren’t. 8-8 might win the NFC East. Dallas played the clueless Falcons or they might be 0-2. Washington is a fun team and will win some games and the Giants should win 5 or 6. So no need to panic just yet but the team with the worst record in football last season is coming to town. Guaranteed win right? Not so fast. Philadelphia hasn’t beat Cincinnati since 2000. Kids born the last time they won are juniors in College.
With that all said I still think the Eagles are the play this weekend. Carson Wentz will silence his critics, at least for another week.
Jacksonville-Miami Thursday night. The beard vs the stash. Rumors of tanking in Jacksonville have been squashed. The stash is for real. But both teams defenses are not. 31 and 33 points given up last week. I like the over 48 in this one. They might have 40 by half. Here’s what I see early.
    +500
    2 team teaser for 50
    Jacksonville +3
    Over 42

    Philadelphia-5.5 for 100
