I realized that not one piece of information I am receiving can be trusted.
Everything you know is wrong.
My conversations with the mint usually go like this:
Me: Hi there, I have a question about X.
Mint: Sure, I can help with that. Can you first tell me your name? What is your email? What is your address? And your phone number?
Me: (after giving all my personal info). So, what about X?
Mint: I really don’t know the answer to your question. Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me: No, actually, I don’t think there is anything else you can help with.
Why even bother calling those imbeciles? All it does is add to the frustration.
Calling the Mint is like calling those corporate customer service lines. You get someone from Asia who can barely speak English but are "there to serve you". You get the corporate shpiel with very little substance.
Any reason why I shouldn't cancelling my order for 1/2 oz gold coin? I think I rather put the money into other coins and I don't see this holding its value. I'm not interested in eBaying it or any of that headache either.

Mintage is low and it is a beautiful coin, IMO. I'd keep it.

If you intend to flip, not a high flier. Your call.

I plan to decide once I see the coin. If I like it, I’ll keep, otherwise, I’ll return to the mint. My guess is that I’ll keep it.
I had email confirmation of two silver medals and both got cancelled. One was under my friends account, his email address, credit card number, phone number and ship to address and even ordered on a different computer. My order was under my info - completely different than his. Both got cancelled. Typical mint nonsense! This is what the emails say:
_One or more items in your order USM08721906 has been cancelled. If you did not request a cancellation, it was cancelled because the item(s) are no longer in our inventory and are not available for backorder.
We apologize for the inconvenience. If you submitted a check for payment, a refund will be processed and mailed. Please allow three to four weeks for processing. If you paid by credit card, you will not be charged. _
You:
~ are not interested in the coin (i.e., "I think I rather put the money into other coins");
~ do not believe that you will be able to recoup your investment at a later date (i.e., "I don't see this holding its value");
~ are not interested in 'flipping' it (i.e., "I'm not interested in eBaying it or any of that headache either").
So, several of the main 'reasons for purchase' do not exist.
IMHO, you should cancel the order. Let someone else that actually wants it have a 'shot' at it.
I got notified yesterday that mine had shipped next day air. UPS tracking today says only that the label was created by the shipper but they haven't picked up the package yet. A watched pot never boils, going to be patient about it.
My silver from Day 1 is "Processing" still, despite being a relatively low order number.
The US Mint must be the most inefficient government agency, apart from the postal service of course.

Their shipping is handled by a private company, PFSweb. They do say things are slower due to less workers due to COVID. Maybe that’s why. They aren’t usually this slow.

Shipping? They are still processing! And it appears they are going in reverse order

mine from monday shows shipped via UPS but tracking number says they haven't picked up the package yet and I paid for next day air. I'm confused as to what's happening here in limbo. maybe I can get a partial refund from the mint for shipping costs.

Next day shipping doesn’t usually count days prior to shipping. It’s just how they ship it. Once it enters the ups system it takes a day. I’m thinking either the truck is on the way to the plane now. Or they missed the truck tonight and the boxes are sitting there ready to go out tomorrow.
I’m happy either way. Just can’t believe I got one.

Same boat here. I contacted the Mint today just as a sanity check. Brandy told me there were no issues with my order but due to Covid, I should allow two weeks for my economy shipping. She counted tomorrow as the end of the first week so my ASE should ship by next Friday. Patience is a virtue, someone once said that didn't know me very well.

Was it the same IP address for both?
Did you call and ask why?
How long after the order was placed were they cancelled?
Man, this stuff scares me. I CAN'T WAIT for the shipping conf for my V75 AGE.

Hard to understand how they ship. My silver V75 from late (12:45 or so EST) on the first day shipped a couple of days ago. I did the free budget shipping. Tracking says will be here on Mon.

Can you designate to PCGS slab a min. grade, or to pass on getting coin slabbed?
Yes.
"Min. Grade: Indicate the lowest acceptable grade. [...] For raw [...] coins 1965 to date, you may indicate (but are not required to) a minimum grade.
[...]"
"For Raw Coins: Use this column only if you do not want your coin encapsulated unless it meets this minimum grade or higher. You will be charged the full grading fee even if your coin does not meet the minimum grade specified and is not encapsulated."
Source: Section #7 of the 'PCGS Submission Guidelines' at: https://www.pcgs.com/submissionguide Note: These excerpts are specific to "raw coins", 1965 to date. Information about "crossovers" can be found at the source.

Is anyone imagining PCGS PR70DCAM prices of the gold? Only 1,945 coins, some in boxes, some at other services so not even sent in. Many 69's due to weird privy die stresses in fields that should "look" perfect at angles under magnification, so if only a couple hundred were 70's, say 10%, then I can imagine some stellar pricing like 30k ranges?
Waiting to see a PCGS first day of issue slabbed 2020 gold eagle V75 privy PR70DCAM in hand to sell and what will it go for?
Here's one with 27 bids at $15,100. The $575,000 shipping charge would be tough to swallow though.

got one in my cart from today's 5 second window - think I might have a chance 🤞🙏
What time will it be??? 09:30 hasn't been used yet. Of course 08:30 was used twice so no rhyme nor reason.
The Mint employees must be having a great time w these. "Hey Sally, what time should we let a few go tomorrow? How many seconds to sell out? How many will be trying? Winner gets lunch" They must be laughing their tails off watching the frenzy.
I'm SO glad to be out of this. Wishing u the best of luck!!
The 7:30 EST is no longer sacred to the mint. There have been coin releases at 8:30, 10:30, and 5:30 during the past week. The only pattern I see is at the half hour mark...bottom of the hour.
