Purchased this beauty for a great discounted price at 4 sharp corners on 4/7. It took an ungodly long delivery time to get it today. But, worth the wait!

1975 Jim Kelly Jr. High Rookie Card. Thanks PSA

Wow that seems like a huge error for PSA. I guess all my 7's and 8's are actually 10's

Beautiful 53 Mantle. I realized that although I have about 10-15 raw versions of this card, I figured I should go ahead and pick up a graded version.

Will always be my favorite card. Congrats on the addition.

    Weird. Vintage. Fun.

1960 Post Cereal (Side Panel) - Mickey Mantle

I will eventually give it some better centering, smooth edges, sharp corners and even borders as it is most certainly hand cut, it isn’t gradable and it will look so much better as a result.

    Edited to add:
Yeah, I’ve got nothing better to do...

Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

Put this Babe Ruth/Lou Gehrig display together as a fun project while indoors so much the past several weeks.

The ball was inscribed by Babe Ruth with the date and location he and Lou Gehrig signed it, namely October 21 1928, when they made a barnstorming appearance at Star Park in Syracuse, NY.

I long wanted a ball that could be traced to a specific date, if it was possible, so finding one was a thrill; that was my priority far above things like auto grade or ball condition, as I am wary of fakes. I was able to do some research and order a poster-sized blow-up of the local newspaper that covered the game and date, corroborating the Star Park location. Turns out Babe ruth ate like seventeen hot dogs at a local bar after the game, when he went out with the players and fans. What a halcyon era lost to time, when the players and fans could interact that closely!

What a great display with a great story to go with it. Congrats as that is a monster of a pickup.

DM23HOF - that newspaper is from my hometown (well, Im from Rome, NY but still).

The Herald was the evening paper, and the Post Standard was (and still is) the morning. I still read the PS onlie.

First, a birthday gift from my sons for my Yaz master set. Surprisingly tough to find in high grade.

Then I also picked up the 1974 Linnett Portraits Patriots team set. I didn't scan all 9, just my 4 favorites. The Cunningham is a RC.

Dan, what a great addition!! Coming from your sons on top of it. Congrats. Not easy finding those in high grade. I am still searching for one for my Bench collection.

Got bored enough that I grabbed this one likely with intention of collecting the whole set. One of my childhood favorites. Love watching highlights of him striding downfield.

    Continuing the 61 auto theme:

    Hi pab1969,

I was the one who had this autographed and graded, if you wanted to know the history of it. It's always cool to see where things end up. I actually had a 1961 Auto HOF set going for awhile. I sold most of it off, still have the Mantle and Maris, that I don't think I'll ever part with.

Hello Justin. That is pretty cool information. I am currently working on the 61 auto set and registering them in PSA. I started with Hall of famers but now I pick up any that I can at a reasonable price. I would love to purchase the Mantle or Maris. If you ever decide to part with them let me know. Phil

More focused than usual lately - these are all towards my '61 HOF set - 41 down, 39 to go. With the MVPs, All-Stars, World Series, Baseball Thrills and Leaders this set might have the most HOFer cards of any vintage Topps set. Nice to get over the half way point.
