#1 John Hannah master set
Also collecting Andre Tippett, Patriots Greats' RCs, Dwight Evans, 1964 Venezuelan Topps, 1974 Topps Red Sox
After a few months of investing in Lebron James and Patrick Mahomes, I've spent the last week picking up some more recent MIke Trout. I know he isn't from the early 1900's, but wow, what a baseballer player this guy is!
Looks slightly under graded to me. Even with the discoloration it looks like a 3-3.5 to me. Maybe I'm crazy. Either way I'm happy with it.

I got some silvers lately for my topps heritage set.
Drew rookie.
I collect hall of fame rookie cards, https://www.instagram.com/stwainfan/
Added 25 Rookies to my HOF RC set in one purchase. But these were the highlights to me.
PSA HOF Baseball Postwar Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 80.51% Complete)
PSA Pro Football HOF Rookie Players Set Registry- (Currently 19.80% Complete)
PSA Basketball HOF Players Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 6.02% Complete)
The back has wax stains or I think this would be a 10!
89 score football set is one of my favorite sets of the 80's. I have most of the hall of fame rookies in psa 10 myself. I was looking up the 95 sp set and there a lot of hall of fame rookies in that set. great cards
Nice card. I'm failing to see how that signature translates to "Fernando Tatis Jr." None of it even looks remotely close to his name.
Andy
@orioles93 i love those especially the 95 SPs. Time to update your signature!

Almost SEVENTY YEARS old and this has beautiful color and corners! Absolute gem, SidePocket1.
Some unopened to start the month.
As a Packer fan this is a Dream Pickup. Pop 2 with 1 Higher.
1968 Dura Joe Louis. One white whale down. This is the highest graded copy of this card that has ever been graded by any grading company. I have been on the lookout for this particular example of this card to pop up ever since it was auctioned off by PWCC back in 2018 and I finally harpooned it. A big thanks to Ebay seller and fellow North Carolinian "Nances Attic" for making this possible. I absolutely love the image of Joe Louis looking down at Billy Conn on this card.
@UFFDAH love the PMG green!!! Looks great with the Packers uni. Congrats.
PS: what's the number sequencing on these for Football? I know for basketball 1-90 were red and 91-100 were green.

@Huskies11 - Thanks Much!! The Card is Beautiful!! My understanding is there are 150 PMG's. 1-15 GREEN and 16-150 BASE RED.
Man,there's so many great pickups above to start off April! Love the Favre PMG and it's pretty cool to see Ty Law make an appearance. Congrats @doubledragon on landing that Joe Louis!
Pumped to finally knock this one off my wantlist after searching for close to three years. Out of all of MJ's spanish 80's cards/stickers I'd rate this 89 Gigantes definitely as top 3 toughest to find in it's original unpeeled form. PSA has only graded 8 of these with no other 5's and just two 6's graded higher.

I like 75 Topps.

Thanks Eric! That Jordan is awesome, I've never seen it before, congrats on one heck of a pickup!

Nice pickups and PMG in any color or sport always are the bomb

Pop 1 none higher, box fresh, came out with weak corners- still a nice one to protect

@UFFDAH Congratulations on the PMG Favre! I finally picked up the Curtis Martin red a few months ago, still searching for a green.
@erikthredd Great Jordan! I'm glad you were finally able to find that one, it looks great!
A couple more for the Eric Davis Collection, from one of my favorite sets...
A shiny new Griffey at 10 percent off
And another card I’ve been following whose price has ping ponged around, was able to get it at 10 percent off as well, thanks to eBay. Was happy where I got it.
While not from either of their playing days, the images on each 8x10 are just really sharp and the copies themselves are pretty clean. No marking or creases but a nic or two on the DiMaggio edges and a dent on the Ruth that doesn’t show.

Ebay bucks helped with this purchase...
Some top of the line items being shown this month geesh - another beauty in that Mays
Sorry my scanner shows everything- lint, surface imperfections in slabs etc, etc, etc
Some re-slabs of Big Frank back along with some newly slabbed.

I told my wife, since I was going to miss about 8 haircuts the money saved would be equal to this card.
Love the Fence Busters - Aaron , Mathews and the Wrigley scoreboard.
Can't get enough of these.
One of the more unusual items listed in my golf "cards" guide. I have a pretty loose definition of card, and this is outside of my furthest stretch of the word, but I still love it. Approx. 9x4" folded, 9x15" unfolded (so it doesn't fit on my scanner bed). From a series of 12 booklets/pamphlets issued by Shell New Zealand in 1959 (pre-dating his RC by 6 years). This was the first I've seen for sale in several years of searching so I pounced on a reasonable BIN.
I had a big mail day.
I collect hall of fame rookie cards, https://www.instagram.com/stwainfan/
@LarkinCollector card or not that Palmer piece is awesome! Congratulations!
Whoever it was that drew that diagram for the 16th hole has one hell of a sense of humor.

Kyle can you send me the backup of that year you've pegged that pamphlet at ?? I have it on mine as 1962. Would interested in any additional back up you have showing its earlier.

Been buying and ripping some modern due to boredom and have stashed some of the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Prizm basketball away for when the market comes back - stuff has been ridiculously hot this year. Also, subbed some Zion cards and bought a few of him and Luka to put back.
Unopened stash of Prizm basketball plus some jumbo and hobby boxes of 2017 Bowman (Acuña) and 2019(Wander Franco). Have some more on the way this week.
No problem. This is from the Smedley/Burdock The Price Guide to Golf Cards Part 2:NON-Tobacco Cards
You can see on mine, it mentions the 1959 USGA Open near the top right when unfolded. So all I can say for certain is last half of 1959 at the earliest.
Non sport cards are so much fun to collect. For me its all about the content, imagery, colors etc. This card happens to be a Pop 3 with none higher and a recent pick up.
The Battle of Pearl Harbor is such an important historic event. Was lucky enough to visit Pearl Harbor a couple years back and several spots brought a tear to my eye.
I have always admired Jesse Owens, and I love the fact that he embarrassed the Nazi scum at the 1936 Olympic games in Germany. I talked this over with Joe, and he told me to go for it, because Joe and Jesse were good friends. I just grabbed three of Jesse Owens rarest cards in one swift blow. His 1968 Mira Tuttosport, his 1961 Clevedon Confectionery, and a rare swedish card. All three of these cards are next to impossible to find, and I couldn't believe they were all on Ebay at the same time, I just couldn't pass them up. The Clevedon Confectionery has a total pop of 3, the Mira Tuttosport has a total pop of 2, and I think the Swedish card has never been graded before by any grading company.
I made another thread about this.
I'm not a baseball guy, but I wanted to start collecting the mega hall of fame guys from the 50s-90s. Some of you guys helped me make a list of 20-30 guys, and now I've gone to work. I'm on a budget, if I can afford their rookie I'll go that route, if not I go for the card design I like best. I'm going to get a regular issue mantle, but this is one I got for now. The price was right. I absolutely love the look of 59 topps, especially the black and red on this Robinson.
I just bought this yesterday through 4SC thanks to the eBay promotions. I am very excited to own an autographed RC!

@doubledragon those are great Jesse Owens items. I've also always admired him, have a small collection of his items that I've picked up over the last few years.
Used the 15 percent off code and added four cards to my Chipper PSA 10 Topps set. Prices shot up on Chipper when he was announced to the HOF. These were about 25-30 each. They are coming back down now so I can get back to work on this set.
