My goal to get a complete set of the following cards at or above a grade of five is currently three cards short. Not surprisingly, the three cards are the first and last in the set, along with the most popular in the set. Found these two raw on eBay and hoping they grade at least a five. Edwards is the most popular and Milton is the last card in the set.

@doubledragon those are great Jesse Owens items. I've also always admired him, have a small collection of his items that I've picked up over the last few years.

Thanks! I've always wanted to collect him, and I just couldn't let these rare cards slip away. They don't turn up very often, and Jesse is one of the all time great sporting pioneers and a great man, so I just had to have them!

Being stuck at home, with no new cards for weeks on end, I went on a mini splurge last week on some Venezuelans for my 1964 set.

Those Venezuelans are beautiful. If I had the extra $, I'd be collecting those like crazy. Their appeal cannot be overstated!

Some unopened to start the month.

I bought one of those in the 80s, and it's got Wade Boggs on the back. Never opened it and haven't graded it. Any idea of its value as is, and its value if graded, say, a PSA 8, 9, or 10?

Thanks! Raw Venz can be affordable, especially commons like I showed above. Those were about $8 each.

    Dan,

We must have very similar taste as I love the pieces you post, too.

Love the Venezuelas! You have a great eye/nose for them, too, as yours always look very un-Venezuelan!

    All the best,

This RBI Leaders card is really a 2?!

Assuming you think a lower grade might be more appropriate, but yes, I think that’s a good card - particularly a Topps Venezuelan the cardboard stock is different so even fresh out of the pack they were more of a cream color than the white you’d be used to seeing on the American made Topps cards of ‘64.

Love all the Vennies Danny boy,

I actually got a card in today. Usually all my funds go to bulk purchases and grading fees but since it will be a bit before I get any cards back I broke down and added one to my Springer stash.

    Camo /99

Looks good next to his brothers

Most are self subbed but could not pass up the camo already slabbed for the price I was able to grab it for.

    Looking for FB HOF Rookies

I looked on ebay for sold '83 Michigan Packs and couldn't find one with a Boggs showing. You might have a one of one or a close to it item possibly. One of the unopened experts on here might give you a better idea of what your pack is worth. None of the PSA Michigan packs on ebay right now had any stars showing.

More raw buying. This one definitely won’t gem but might be the only one I’ve seen in the wild and the variation is currently a POP of 0 so snatched it up for a future sub.

This is another jumbo card. I just can’t help myself with these lol esp. rookie !

All of my jumbos prior to the lockdown are sitting in a sealed box with paperwork waiting to make the trip to CA. Looks like I’m gonna be busting that one open!

I'm not really a fan of The Bar stuff, but a golf themed Babe 1/1 for under $10 dlvd? Sure, why not. It's a piece of a US Open flag on the right ...

(Ugh, time to clean the scanner again :s )

I've seen a few Joe Louis the bar cards, including one with a ticket stub from the 1933 Golden Gloves tournament on it. Those cards have some pretty cool artifacts on them. Nice pickup!

2011 Topps American Pie Rainbow Foil refractor Joe Louis. This is a tough card to find.

Finally just bought the card, and not the grade. A TOUGH find in condition. If anyone has a centered 9, lmk, I’ll upgrade. In any event, another nice addition for my Eric Davis collection...

A couple of nostalgic Griffey’s to add to my Griffey stash..

And finally, been dipping into modern more and more lately. Why not?

1986 Eric Davis— loved that card as a kid, still do!

Can't go wrong with a #144 Babe Ruth, especially when it is focused.

More raw. I believe only three of this variation have been graded and none appear to have been sold. At this rate, I may have a bulk sub of only Severino RCs by the time PSA reopens!

Awesome additions- love the Vennies as well :) . The Butkus is sweet- not a football guy but that card resonates !

More from the end of the prior sub catch up. This was the final 9 cards in the sub I've been posting the last couple weeks
Normally I get tons of Mint 9 and a few 10 on Topps Tek stuff. This sub was different- actually reversed it and got 7 Gem Mint 10's and 2 Mint 9's. Last one of 10 apparently didn't measure up somehow despite all the cards coming from the same pack fresh source.

The two Piazza Tek #15A below were the only Mint 9-- which if you do Tek you'll learn is hard enough
The Beltre Gems make me happy especially the Tek Phenoms - I'm responsible for most of the Mint 9's in the pop report :(
