for a contrast with the previous post, a "white" coin. I wanted an example CBH that looked pretty much like it just came from the mint (without me having to go to the poorhouse!). This came from Sheridan Downey's recent auction, pcgs 58
Nice pick up. Actually your purchase is usually more my style too! This was an unusual purchase for me.
thank you Mark. I really like the look of your Morgan, it reminds me of some from my Dad's collection that spent a long time in an old high sulfur paper album.
The bust half also has some interesting double profile stuff going on in the face and neck.
I have been waiting for a No Motto, No Periods $10 St Gaudens for a while. This one seemed to fit in with the Motto dates I have. I can't wait to see it in hand. The gold type set is one coin closer to done (if there is such a thing).

Nice!
Thanks,
I was thinking of doing a guess the grade and CAC or no CAC but that often goes to crazy places. It also doesn't help that my name is pcgsgoldcac. Kind of gives it away.
I just bought two, a 1884 G$1 in 64 CAC that’s nearly PL and this one. This one had a true view so I’m using that. I haven’t gotten around to photographing the other:
That is amazing. Just visited their website and unfortunately they are all sold out of many of the tributes. I will have to mark it and watch. I bet the 2oz coin in hand is cool.

You can sign up in the area where it says to notify and they will email you when the have more.
That’s what I did and it took only a week or so.

Great, thanks. I will do that now. I wondered what "out of stock" meant compared to "sold out".
I bought this yesterday by accident. I guess it illustrates my ignorance as it seems to me it went cheap. Paid $1080 w/premium. Despite that it apparently sold in May of this year for $1680.

That's why the call it "Limited Mintage" . . . . .
They are able to keep demand high by being "out of stock" most of the time. They get 15 or 20 folks to sign up for the "back in stock" notifications and BAM they make another run . . . .
I wouldn't be shocked if they had hundreds in the back room and only "released" 20 or so at a time. Seems that production efficiencies would be improved in that manner.

Bought this one today, my first graded trime. While it's not really anything special it's just intriguing as worn and thin as it is that it's not damaged.
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
I was able to find a couple of very rare club medals. Both have mintages just under 50.
The last one looks like they had some major issues either with the die or something as the planchet

And this set I have searched for years! Finally found one for sale on Facebook. .
This one is a 1973 Mint product. You can see the S on both medals
The bronze has toned already and the silver has started. I think the quality is outstanding and
hard to believe it’s a mint product.

2007-D Jefferson Concept Dollar - Silver, Satin - Mintage: 40 - by Daniel Carr - NNC PR70 SF (Robert Johnson)
There are only 40 of these Presidential concept dollars so I've been looking for this for some time.
Imagine my surprise when I learned that not only were PCGS, NGC, ANACS and ICG slabbing Dan @dcarr's pieces, but Bob Johnson's NNC (National Numismatic Certification) was as well!
1868 mpd 004. Snow 8 868 in denticals * pcgs plate coin for the variety
1869 half dime raw Au." Detail cleaned " better date 208k mintage.
The key and semi key dates for this series as well some well know varieties are becoming harder to find. So a hole filler till a better specimen comes around. This coin also has a strike through on the reverse at 2k.

Great looking T2 dollar, USMC.
Been 4 months since I got anything new, with prices so high anymore. I was finally able to add something for $25.

1907 Jamestown Ter-Centennial Battleship Virginia So-Called Dollar - Small Dates - HK-349 - NGC MS65 DPL POP 2/0
The mirrors on this in hand are amazing. It deserves every bit of the DLP designation it has from ATS.
At NGC MS65 DPL this is a pop 2/0. There are also 2 specimens at MS65 PL.
It's amazing that for So-Called Dollars at this high grade, little to no provenance is known.

Paid dearly through the nose for this one but had to have it at all costs.
Those are tough to find, since a significant percentage of that date was cleaned in ill-advised and failed attempts to reach an "uncirculated" grade.
