Ive received a few new pickups this week. I am really enjoying the Heraldic Art Medals. I almost never, actually never did a series but I am liking these so much I may do it.
.
. 1969 Heraldic Art John Wesley Powell / Grand Canyon
.
.
. 1966 Heraldic Art Transatlantic Telegraph / Great Eastern
.
.
.
.
And lastly an 1803 Turban Head Eagle TKN J-C1803-3 KETTLE Looks mint state to me. I hope PCGS sees it that way too

The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin
@slowhand great coin, I was seriously considering that exact coin, just didn’t quite have the funds yet. I thought it was a great looking coin at a fair price.
Today's show I managed to find a few good buys. 2 buffalo nickels, a 1853 seated quarter with rays, an 1879 IHC thats a snow 2 or the rpm 001. Whats cool about this find is it was an easy pick!
The 1879 ihc was in a pci slab old green Vf.30 1/1879/79 its a semi key overall rariety is an R-4
This specimen also has the begining of a cud @ 9k.
The 1913 ty 2 buffalo has a nice double profile, and EPU clash under the chin. Nice xf coin.
Lastly a 1853 Seated Liberty quarter I see it as a vf /xf with a slight rim ding at 10 k. For the difference in money this coin fit the bill for a type set.
I found this at a shop in a new town while on vacation... not a coin I needed but it's a key date for the series and seemed pretty original to my eyes.
.
.
Picked this up this weekend on line sellers images. Was so happy to find another one to cross off the list. As I am down to some real tough dates. 1869 h -10. 200,600 mintage .
But when your hunting any from 1863-1869 you sometimes need to take what you can find.
Sometimes they are pretty roached out. The one hit or strike through at 2k rev. Is acceptable as I self slab, or buy slabed coins depending on date ,mm etc... I managed to score this 69 at a very reasonable price point. Sellers images.
Got this one as part of a multi-coin deal. I usually just stay away from color toned Morgans but took this one in since it was already NGC graded and the reverse is absolutely fantastic looking. The NGC pictures don't do the coin justice at all. Reverse colors are much brighter than pictures show. I was able to capture more (but not all) of the color after a few attempts. More blue around date and up into chin, reds thru eyes, nose and from 7:00 up to E along the rim. Some distracting areas on obverse near her chin and cheek.
for a contrast with the previous post, a "white" coin. I wanted an example CBH that looked pretty much like it just came from the mint (without me having to go to the poorhouse!). This came from Sheridan Downey's recent auction, pcgs 58

Latest addition to the Braided Hair Large Cent VF-XF set. Possibly a bit undervalued at just 200,000 minted.

Totally outclassed by more illustrious members, but I am getting so close to completing my Indian quarter eagle set and that makes me happy.
Do you have a set registered we can look at?
@slowhand Sure! And if I can get a comment, it will help my rating, which is fairly dismal still haha.
