Yes, super cool @johnny010 there’s a conder token place on Facebook run by Gary Groll. Maybe post it there and ask.
I would love to find out. Restrike san be rarer than the original. Would be awesome if pcgs recognizes it.
If you can find the NGC number assigned to it then Pcgs would do it.
Appreciate the advice, for real. I do not have any social media unfortunately. I’ll look around on NGC.
Here was the listing description
“ (1870's) THOMAS PAIN RESTRIKE HANGING SCENE SATIRICAL POLITICAL TOKEN. UNC. Plain Edge, 19mm, Copper.”
That is FANTASTIC! Score. Is it graded? If not will you go though pcgs and get trueviews ?
Thanks! It’s raw. Was not sure how it would grade with that spot on the obverse bottom left. Open to grading for sure.
I went ahead and looked it up. It says Restrike. I’ve not seen a Restrike of this one. But, then again I’ve never seen a Pain
token with a bird/devil on the giblet before. It looks brass to me too…….is it?
Also, if it’s a Restrike I’m not sure pcgs would grade it but NGC will.
Also as far as the s-or goes, can you take an up close image? I can’t tell what kind of spot it is.
I’m not sure that restrike is the best term for this. I would say modern copy may be more accurate.

First, I did some research and found that the coin in purchased was likely a copy of a copy. I presented my research to the seller and he refunded my money. I do think the real version is a modern copy based on the fact that a coin dealer reproduced the coin in 1830s-1840s
Awarded to those who served. The official ones that were award came attached to a ribbon, but it's always nice to find one that wasn't attached for coin collectors.
Attended a coin show up in Nashua, NH and came across this nifty slab holder which has slanted slats for the labels to be clearly visible instead of having to lift them up to view. Got the last piece that was available since it quickly sold out (3 for $25 or $10 for one).
Holds twenty of most TPG slabs and dimensions are roughly:
13 & 1/4 inches long, 2 & 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches tall.
Kindly overlook any typos/formatting errors etc. since it is being posted from my cell phone.
Cheers.
Picked up my second 1877-S FS-801 DDR. Very difficult coin to locate. Much different than the case for FS-802, which is barely scarce. The AU Details one I will get slabbed reverse in front. It is the money side and the graffiti scratches in the obverse fields are better on the back.
Just arrived to complete my reverse proof ase collection. This is the biggie And ofcourse the most expensive 😁. Although after looking for over a year this was the first one I’ve seen at a very good price and quality.
_ I really like these 3 Cent Nickles and this toned Franklin half looks even better in hand. Just got these three coins in the mail today, thanks Mike, I appreciate it. Just in time for Christmas and you all have a Merry Christmas too._

You know how some days you're hungry and you reach into the refrigerator and pull out a mixed bag of leftovers, you know stuff that doesn't particularly go together, cold pizza, a chicken leg & some humus. But your all alone, no one else is home and you're too hungry to care, so you just go with it....well this is the numismatic / exonumia version of that.

As promised, here are better photos (courtesy of seller) and 2 new coins.
