I went overboard on these tonight, but couldn't help myself. Mostly adding dupes to the collection, but 2 I didn't previously have:

I've had to buy tons of player lots before myself just to pick up that elusive 1 or 2 items as well . But no such thing as a "bad" purchase when picking up player items nice buy !! Gotta fire up the scanner once I complete all my sub entries before prices go up.
Just back and scanned from PSA / DNA. Pop 2 just 1 higher . Obvious issues on reverse and minor snow prevented higher card grade but one of the better items I've seen of Kaline from the 63 set.
New pickup! "WOOD" ya look at the borders! Love 62's.
Key cards in the 1st Series include Roger Maris, Sandy Koufax, Roberto Clemente, Manager's Dream (Mantle, Mays), Rocky Colavito, Ernie Banks, Casey Stengel, Eddie Mathews, Orlando Cepeda, Brooks Robinson, Stan Musial, League Leader Cards, Harmon Killebrew and Nellie Fox.

I actually bought each of them in individual eBay auctions. Most looked nicer than what I already have so I decided to pull the trigger on them all.

I think King Edward Longshanks in this set, too. The one from Braveheart that threw his son's friend out the window and established Prima Nocta. Don't remember off the top of my head, but there's a similar William Wallace card too. Not sure if it's in the same set.
These came in yesterday and today. The 1970 cards are new additions to my 70 HOF and 70 All Star subsets. The Jackson is tough to find in high grade. I now need one card for each set to complete them. The 1967 Mays is an upgrade and the Robinson is a new addition to my collection.

More new slabs scanned. Been sending in my Red Sox Star related items lately as I downsize.
Already have a Gwynn #3 for 1988 Star Boggs and Gwynn so that ones being sold compared both before deciding which goes. The card is always found off centered yet to find a decent centered copy
The Boggs 1988 Star Hitman # 1 ( was able to get a Gem 10 on last sub) and the # 5 Hitman ( dupe already own a 9) are dupes. Last 2 Piazza's gemmed this one didn't oh well on the Piazza Early Risers

This came out right when I first started ripping packs and collecting as a kid. I read it so much that I think I had most of it memorized at the time. I flipped through it so much I literally wore it out to the point of having to throw away.
This Card Bible lit my candle when it came to buying packs and the card chase that ensued in 1981 !!
After a gift from my wife for Christamas, I am now down to 8 on my 54 Topps set, unfortunately they are the big ones and a tough common. I also decided to start a new football set and chose 54 Bowman, these are the first few pickups that have arrived, I have 5 in transit.

A beauty from the 1958 D.C. Thomson World Cup Footballers set issued in Adventure, The Hotspur, The Rover, and The Wizard comic books. Each issue of the comics included two cards. This particular card is of Scottish footballer Dave MacKay who is a member of the Scottish Football Hall of Fame. It was part of the second issue of The Wizard comic book.
I just made my last purchase of 2019 (I think ;-) ) It's a 1958 Mississippi High School All-star Game ticket stub. Lance Alworth scored the only touchdown of the game.
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.

Not really a football collector but love those ‘54 Bowmans. Those logos are cool and like the larger cards.
