I'll get the ball rolling. Chucky's Raiders beat the Bears 24-21.

  • JoeBanzaiJoeBanzai Posts: 11,806 ✭✭✭✭✭

The fans here in Minnesota thank the Raiders!

I assume everyone here is also happy with the Vikings Dalvin Cook has a wonderful game. Cousins will get too much credit, although he did play well.

Thielen made a couple of incredible catches too!

Diggs? Might be on his way out.

Yes, Kirk Cousins took a lot of heat for last weeks game againts the Bears. He certainly made up for it today. I'm not sure if Diggs is on the way out, but a lot of teams will be interested in him if he does leave the Vikings.

The Texans were impressive today. I'm liking my investment in a Deshuan Watson rookie auto card at this point.
5 TD's, over 400 yards and no picks. Looks like a performance warranting more rookie cards.

I guess Giant’s quarterback, Dan Jones, had a minor detour to the Hall of Fame today.

Yes, the Texans put up 53 on Atlanta. I don't think Atlanta has gotten over that Super Bowl disaster a few years back. They just can't get it together.

They really can’t. On paper they look like they have a solid team but they are awful on D

Saints pulled off another win vs the Bucs today. Teddy Bridgewater is hanging in there.

The Tampa team is unpredictable. Some weeks they are potential world beaters; other weeks they are are a sub .500 team. Jamis Winston is not a championship quality quarterback. He is not consistent. The game will be up with him in Tampa at the end of this season. He was a first round draft pick, but he does not have what it takes to make the Tampa team a winner.

Mahomes is making some ridiculously stupid good throws. 😳

Tampa appears to have the ol' Jekyll Hyde thing going on. One week its 55 points, the next week they put up a stinker.

Mahomes is ridiculous, the way he can move around and throw.

indy won the bressett trade , although the case of lightbulbs was put to good use here in foxboro

Cook was the story (again) today along with Thielen THEY made Cousins look good, Cook is the one making the offense go. No offense to the Giants, but this is a game the Vikings are supposed to win.

Great to see him doing well after recovering from a bad knee injury.

Indy pulling off an upset of the Chiefs, they are banged up at the WR position, part of the reason Mahomes was “Slowed” and only threw for 321 and 1 TD

Mahomes said his ankle was stepped on and he re-aggrevated it last night.

    Jameis Winston, 5 interceptions. Ouch.

Since Washington and Miami have done nothing but lay eggs this season, we will call their game the " Egg Bowl". Right now Washington is winning the Egg Bowl 17-10.

  • BillJonesBillJones Posts: 33,997 ✭✭✭✭✭

Miami “won” by losing. They had a failed two point conversion. Miami is in the hunt for the first round pick.

Congratulations Washington Redskins, you are the 2019 Egg Bowl Champions!

The Bucs have got to look elsewhere if they are ever to get anywhere. I think Winston’s contract runs out at the end of this year. Maybe Miami or the Jets will be foolish enough to pick him up. He’s got talent, but he’s inconsistent and prone to turnovers.

Who do they want? Tua or that kid from Oregon? I don’t think Rosen will be the answer

Boy, what a sad effort by the Rams, and you can really stick a fork in the Falcons!

  • BillJonesBillJones Posts: 33,997 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Falcons are almost as dead as Miami, and they are not going for the first draft pick. Since their Super Bowl melt-down, it’s been all downhill.

@doubledragon The Chargers are not looking good. I agree. I always liked to watch Rivers play.

  • JRR300JRR300 Posts: 1,369 ✭✭✭✭

Boy that Chargers game was U-G-L-Y!!!! The Steelers aren't that good to do that to the Charges on their homefield.

Ah, yes I forgot they are in LA now. The Rams looked bad yesterday as well. The fans in LA are having a rough season.

  • JRR300JRR300 Posts: 1,369 ✭✭✭✭

Looks like the Rams have a big case of the "Super Bowl loser" hangover. Seems to happen to the team that loses that game every year. Geez, the Falcons have looked that way every year since losing that game.

another game that a bad call takes a chance to win away from a team. What kind of rule will they put in to stop this from happening again. Terrible call against Trey Flowers!!!!! Just keep seeing this happen over and over.

  • bronco2078bronco2078 Posts: 10,231 ✭✭✭✭✭

the officials should have just worn packers uniforms.

On an unrelated note, post game rodgers interview wasn't as douchey as usual

  • JRR300JRR300 Posts: 1,369 ✭✭✭✭

getting to be a weekly occurrence. More and more teams are getting screwed. Seems like the only think they worry about is not reversing or explaining a call so they don't tarnish the ref's image.

Looking forward to the big showdown tonight Cowboys vs Eagles. Jimmy Johnson predicts that whoever loses this game Will not make the playoffs. May the best team win. Let's get it on!

  • JRR300JRR300 Posts: 1,369 ✭✭✭✭

Is it me or are many teams that were thought to be very good that are just not that good at all. San Diego, Chicago, my Eagles, Atlanta and Cleveland all were pre-season picks , yet none have a winning record. Just making this observation.

The Chargers have been known to start slow and then reel off several wins in a row to barely make the playoffs.
So the loss against Tennessee yesterday was huge. Lost it on a fumble at the goal line.
Dropped them to 2-5, would like to see them lose next week to go 2-6, then it would be virtually impossible
    to make the playoffs.

Now that the Giants and Jets have returned to Earth what is the outlook for both teams? The Giants though are only out of 1st by 2 games. Wonder who will do better with their young QB's.

“Out by two games” is a mountain for this Giants’ team. You don’t get to play Cincinnati, Miami, Atlanta and the Jets every week. Sometimes you have to play some real football to win.

Wow, what a horrendous way to lose.

Doesn't get much worse than that considering the circumstances combined with the amount of money.

Just another reason not to bet on sports. They don't care about the point spread. ;)

I believe sometimes they do. And all the more reason not to bet, you don’t know which side of the spread they care about 😉
