I'll say the same thing that I told my wife before the Saints game; they have a good chance if Dalvin Cook stays healthy and productive.

Exactly, takes a lot of pressure off Cousins. He plays well when they are balanced - run & pass

Right now I think Cousins is the kind of player who can excel on a good, balanced team but, so far, he isn't going to do nearly as well on a average/good team that relies on him for the lions share of the offensive production.

Case in point the pass in overtime that he threw to Thielen. First down, play action. Without a runner to keep the defense honest, does Cousins complete that pass? We will never know.

Looking forward to the game against the 49ers today. I hope they are as overconfident as the Saints appeared to be.

I'm certainly ready for some playoff football today. I'm cooking up a batch of tasty chili dogs as we speak. Oh, how they smell so scrumptous. They just tickle my fancy!

    Chili dogs for some.

Adam Thielen was involved in a freak accident in practice three days ago. A teammate's cleat lacerated the back of his lower leg near his achilles. He received stitches, but is expected to play.

Vikings O line needs to give Cousins enough time. Zimmer and company better be able and willing to make adjustments. Would love to see Harris or Kendricks pick Jimmy G early and rattle him.

It's starting to get ugly in San Francisco for the Vikings.

I must have fell asleep at 9:30 p.m. last night. I guess a full day of doing nothing but drinking beer, eating chili dogs, and sitting around watching TV exhausted me. I seem to recall a bit of a stomach ache around 9:00 p.m. After that, I don't remember too much.

Yes it got ugly and stayed that way. Pat Elflein was auditioning for a job as a revolving door.

MUST be able to run the ball, Vikings could not.

    Congrats to the 49ers.

So glad Earl Thomas indicated the Ravens were going to be physical with the Titans, unlike the Patriots. They certainly kept Derrick Henry in check 😂. Henry is a beast, reminds me of Eric Dickerson with an additional 25 lbs.

When going on an eating binge...beforehand drink a full glass of room temperature water, and then afterwards do the same.

You'll be pleasantly surprised as to how this simple procedure helps greatly to provide proper digestion and avoid stomach aches.

reminds me more of Earl Campbell, especially when he had that run against the Dolphins on MNF

    Chiefs vs Texans.
The Texans have drawn first blood, they lead 7-0

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Texans just blocked a Chiefs punt and ran it back for a touchdown. The Texans lead 14-0

I'm not sure, but the Texans just scored again. It's 21-0 now. The Chiefs have their work cut out for them. Everything that could possibly go wrong for the Chiefs has gone wrong.

on a silver platter for the Chiefs with the Pats & Ravens gone, and they proceed to come out and lay a Tyrannosaurus Rex-sized egg at home

The Texans just tacked on a field goal. It's 24-0. It's still early in the game, but if the Chiefs want to make a comeback, now is the time to start.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Chiefs just scored a touchdown!

Still plenty of time for Mahomes to lead a comeback. The Texans just tried a fake punt and it failed. The Chiefs has excellent field position now.

    With a 24-7 lead.

It's hard to believe sometimes how dumb that some coaches are.

Chiefs just scored, it's 24-14. There is a huge momentum swing, and the fans are coming alive!

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,039 ✭✭✭✭✭

This is one crazy arse game.

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,039 ✭✭✭✭✭

They're putting up points like a pinball machine game.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Texans just fumbled the kickoff, the Chiefs have the ball near the goal.

Gamblers who bet on the Texans, just put down their new car brochures...for now at least.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Gamblers who bet on the Texans are looking online for good loan companies. ;)

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,039 ✭✭✭✭✭

Without googling it, i'd have to say that considering being down 24 points, this must be the "quickest" comeback in NFL history.

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 7,892 ✭✭✭✭✭

wonder what the line was for the chiefs to be ahead at half when it was 0-24 with 11 mins left in the second quarter?

if i had dropped a single dollar i would own every joe louis card in existence

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,039 ✭✭✭✭✭

What the yell is Bill O'Brien going to say at halftime?

"Okay men, we blew a 24 point lead, don't worry about it."

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 7,892 ✭✭✭✭✭

if Darin didn't drown from his own puke after the 1st quarter, he's probably on a heart monitor after the 2nd

undoubtedly the wildest first half of a football game i have ever seen

And i'm sure that prop bet was offered somewhere. If not here, then in the UK.

Any Vegas high roller who bet it all on the Chiefs, then the Texans take a 24 point lead, and so he decides to do a swan dive off a Vegas hotel roof. By the time he rides up the elevator, strolls to the roof and leaps, if on the way down he peers into a window and sees the Chiefs now with the lead, he sure is going to be quite upset about it. ;)

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,039 ✭✭✭✭✭

By my calculations, the Chiefs are now scoring touchdowns in this game at the rate of one every thirty seconds.

  • doubledragondoubledragon Posts: 23,269 ✭✭✭✭✭

Yep, the Chiefs are running the show now. I'm looking forward to the Packers vs Seahawks game coming up next. Wilson vs Rodgers. Let's get it on!

  • galaxy27galaxy27 Posts: 7,892 ✭✭✭✭✭

you just know there's some wanker out there who found the Texans plus-50 when it was 24-0 with 11 mins left in the 2nd and dropped 2 million dollars to win 50 cents

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
