Returned from a cruise and then spent a week in Ft Myers FL.
Visited with family and went to any and all coin shops I could find, some pawn shops too. Picked up $738 fv 90%, and a roll of 2023 gold buffs. I'm seeing the need to exchange some fiat for real money!

    That’s a nice haul! 👍

    Nice ready-made stash, cmanbb.

    Did someone say Friday :o
How's this for a vintage puck?
I've got an email into Allengelhard to see what the know about mintage.
I've only seen one other many years ago and now looking back it has the same pictures :)
There is a newer style I see around but not the older vintage one.

    An OG participation trophy!!

    @rte592,

Nice pickup! I visited one of the mines there in the 90's when they discovered the Pipeline deposits (23 million gold ounces). They keep finding gold in the surrounding areas. Ore from the open pit at Cortez Hills is hauled in trucks that each hold 400 tons of ore. I have not seen that silver award medal before, but I have a few from Newmont.

I had to root through about 500 pieces of costume and the folk running it saw me checking with my loupe. They knew I was cherrypicking and they stated the price

I had a friend's Dad that would constantly come up with diamond engagement rings from yard sales @$5.
He was pretty crafty, he would find one slip it on his finger and pick up a few nice looking pieces of costume jewelry and then ask how much for the lot.

    Well it's Saturday.
Day late and a $1 spent...
    What did I get?
    Silver?
Doesn't stick to a strong magnet.
It's tarnished and rubs off with some effort.
Says National Silver Co. BUT isn't marked STERLING or PLATED?
Ice cube melts faster than on a paper plate.

    UPDATE
looks to be silver plated (bummer)
Has a KES in a crown Hallmark.
O well the $1 donation goes to help military thrift store.

Good Candidate for a Spoon Ring.

@Kliao .... Fourteen ounces for the shakers alone? Or including the plate? Cheers, RickO

The plate alone is 14 ounces. The shakers are weighted and lined with glass so maybe 1.5 ounces between the two shakers. :)

Also picked this up for my collection. A coronation spoon in sterling silver and gold washed. Marked with Elizabeth's coronation mark in addition to the typical sterling marks.

Not particularly bullion in this form, but I’ve been picking up some sovereigns lately…

Love sovereigns, I'm not too sure on the King's head just yet.

Ugh... turns out it was cleaned. Lots of hairlines that were concealed in the pics... back it goes. Seller wasn't happy, "THAT'S WHY I DON'T EXCEPT RETURNS!" oh well, thankfully Ebay disagrees... I can do without the cleaning for that money. Next one coming soon :)

I would have sent it back too.

    Good move. 👍

Last, but not least I also got this:
I have always wanted a Canadian Sovereign
And remarkably the color on the coin, especially the reverse, the color is very similar to what you see on some of the Panama Pacific gold dollar commemoratives!

Very nice gold. Love the $10 Canadians been wanting to pick up one of those for years. Especially one from the Gold Hoard.

I have some old Sovereigns too but no Canadian ones, just GB, AUS and SA.

    CNGRTS!

The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

You should seek one of the Canadian $10 coins, they are really really nice!
