It's a Daniel Carr piece. First one of his work in my collection.
That is the first type of 1/10-troy-oz gold that I produced, and it was one of the first pieces (of any kind) that I struck myself.
Dave Emslie also struck some using the same dies.
@asheland .... That is very nicely done.... However, for me, I do not want any commemoration of this episode - further commentary not necessary. Cheers, RickO
6115? I was 6113 probably a decade before you. Thank you for your Service! SEMPER!!!
I know they changed those MOS' up some. When I was in, 6115 was a Helicopter Mechanic for the CH53E... I have to dig around to find that now.. Thank YOU for your service, Semper Fi!

No new purchases lately. I’ll post something from the past that I still have:
I bought several of these back when, apparently, they were still in production, lately I have looked, the prices are kind of stupid lately on these Engelhard Australia bars..
Great looking coin. I worked in downtown Baltimore for many years and learned much of their history. The Great Baltimore Fire which destroyed most of downtown Baltimore occurred in 1904 so it's a very neat and historic year to me.

That’s interesting! I wasn’t aware of that fire, but I like the 1900 through 1909 era stuff, my grandmother was born in 1907. 👍

My wife's father was born in 1907 and her mother was born in 1911 and I have several US gold coins from those dates. My parents were born in 1919 and 1921 so I don't have any gold coins from those dates although I do have a 1921 Peace dollar.

I’ve been getting these Congo gorillas for my wife for the past 4 years. She loves this series so I get the ornament capsule so she can trim the tree with them. Here’s the 2022. 🎄

@PerryHall that’s indeed cool when you can get coins to go along with special dates like that. 👍
Funny thing with my grandmother being born in 1907, I don’t have any coins for that year… soon to change at some point I will get one I’m pretty sure.
A nice, fully red IHC from 1907 would definitely do the trick for me.

1911, 1919 and 1921 I also lack, I would have posted something here if I did. 👍
I have close dates, 1912-14 Canada gold 5’s, and 1908 saint, 1909 $5 Indian, and my recent 1909-S Lincoln. An interesting era for sure.

Well, I guess I have this one from 1921… It’s kinda just a widget but fun nonetheless:
