@ricko said: @Jinx86 ... What is the weight of that bar? Cheers, RickO
It has 107.08 written on it so I would assume that's the weight in Troy ounces.

Most of those grease bars weigh around 100 ounces so I assumed the decimal point got rubbed off or was very faint. I'm not certain what the significance of the 7.5 is though.

New purchase... only two more to go for the set!
Nice! Which two are left to complete the set?
1928 and of course the 1911-D
Oh, I see! I thought you were doing the type set... Doing the full set of $2.50 Indians is impressive!
I might skip the 11-D.. not sure yet. They get pricey real fast and I'm not sure they are that "rare." I may just move on to other things and revisit that coin later... We'll see what pops up!

Definitely wait for a decent deal if nothing else...
I was offering to buy some junk silver Friday night and wanted to get to the seller's minimun for free shipping. So I added in this little 1oz bar, which arrived today. To date, the only 1oz art bar I have ever owned.
I wish. But no. Probably paid a little more than I can easily sell it for. I just decided to pick something off a list of art bars that i thought would be interesting to look at, all in the name of free shipping.
1977 Coca Cola Houston 75th Anniversary 1 Ounce .999 Silver Art Bar
Yes, that. I had a choice between that one or the Mt. Hood bar. I figured there would be a much larger population of Texans than Oregonians to sell to in the event i ever decide to part with it.
JK....on the Mt Hood bar. Apparently, they are rare and sell for $700 or so. The Houston bars sell for $35-50 on eBay, which translates to around spot minus $2 here in this forum.

I picked this vintage Crown Mint 10oz bar yesterday. It's been a while since I added to the silver pile but this bar is pretty nice. Still sealed in it's original plastic, it's got a nice overall purple haze tarnish to it. Plus it goes well with the little 5oz piece I already have.

A few years ago I went to our archives and asked if they had any of those silver bars. Nada

Back in the day, I cherry picked 2 Mt. Hood art bars here in Oregon for around $20 each. Both were very profitable flips.
