Mine left Southaven in the early AM hours, due to arrive on July 11th. Is that par for the course with stupid post?
FedEx doesn't move on the weekends, so even it's on a truck, it's not going anywhere.
Don't believe the 11th, unless you live close to Memphis. Mine is scheduled for the 10th, it will actually get to me the 13th or the 15th. Only once did a Smartpost package from the Mint get to me in 5 working days. The handoff to the post office sometimes takes three working days for me. It sits in a hub for a full day without being touched.
I don't like Smartpost, in case anyone hasn't figured that out yet.
Order placed this am went right to "processing".....no clue why it is listed as backorder. Previous orders for items that were backordered stayed in that status until they were available and THEN went to processing

My order from yesterday afternoon went straight to PROCESSING.
This morning it is on Backorder until August 6th.....
My order shows shipped I ordered 4:30pm pacific first day and had August 8th as ship date. I should have selected express mail, you guys grading or flipping?

I would not suggest grading unless you are a bulk submitter or you are grading for your own collection. You can buy PCGS 69 FS on eBay right now for $159.

Very true you think I would have learned my lesson from the Apollo set broke even on that! I will hope for a sell out. I can keep them in the box that way they stay first strike eligible.

Most likely will revert back to processing & subsequently shipped next week. I'm in the same boat, my order of 8PM on 7/3, which had a b.o. date of 8/6, was shipped 7/5, but my order from 7/5 went from processing to b.o. today

look at this seller, selling a unopened box of 5 for 840. there is always someone willing to do something for little or nothing, desperate seller
I'm confused. What's wrong with that listing? He paid $700+. After eBay fees he's at approximately $760 net. It seems fair and reasonable to me.
Seller does not sell coins or even Mint products. All of his sale items are low cost & low profit margin. As the saying goes: "No one ever went broke taking profits"

Agree
Seller’s inventory seems to be Yardsale stuff. Probably put out a massive outlay of funds (for the seller) to get the sets and trying to get a quick turn around before the CC bill comes due.
I would guess everyone on the boards that wanted some, ordered some already. those that missed out don't want 5 sets or are waiting for the sales to re open. might be a good idea to wait for official sell out to sell them
Doesn't seem worth the effort, especially if the 1st ebay buyer returns the purchase.
A regular seller with a store pays only 6.15%. My total cost, for example is 9%. I will probably list my boxes of 5 for about that same number. Net is about $780, my cost after CC cashback is somewhere around $686. Hard to make more than $20 a set on a Mint product flip.
when you do a search, his auction comes up twice, which means he sponsored his auction, that runs up to 6 percent more in final value fees on top of the 6.15. there is no way your going to ship the 5 sets for 10 dollars either

Which is why I agreed to sell my five US Mint sets to APMEX . With my CC cashback I should net about $116 total or just over $23/ set . Easy decision for me. This will help offset my grading expenses on my RCM sets.

I get about 3 or 4 returns per year on 3000 sales. Return costs should be spread across all sales not localized on one item. > @dave92029 said:

That's not a bad number. I'm surprised they were paying that well, unless you locked in on the first day. They could have bought all they wanted on the Friday.

My US set arrived an hour ago at FedEx's Olathe, Kansas hub. That's only a 350 mile detour West of Smartpost's usual route. Where the heck is it going?
But on the bright side, it's still scheduled to be here tomorrow! (No it won't. )
Yeah, I'm whining. (It's one of those first world problem things...) But I need the $*#&%( box so I can send it in and be done with it.
MCM has a pre-sale of the NGC 70 ER/FR PoTN sets at $299.95. No country of origin on the label. I think the APMEX PCGS FS 70 sets from the RCM at $279.95 is a wee bit of a better deal
Mine are on the way. I think these coins are going to be a good buy over time as they will be attractive to U.S. and Canadian collectors and part of the SE series.
