Not sure about your high number...I ordered mine at 8PM with a # 68477xx. I can't believe an additional 40k orders in one hour.

Could be any reason, planchet issues, RCM coin delivery, lack of packaging etc., wtc, etc. It's irrelevant. Point is they created a low mintage issue and didn't have any way to ship them as ordered without an unreasonable delay. The Apollo 5 oz'er is now available but going nowhere....and now... deja vu

I bought one before back order for my collection only because of the unique finish. Hope they do not produce again in later years. So I guess the mintage availability is split between the two mints. Maybe only 50k available from the U.S.

This product was announced a LONG time ago to be 100k US and 10k RCM (actually recently corrected from a total mintage of 100k..but always had the 10k RCM amount)

Because of the July 4 holiday, the US set is still in a "Label created" status, which means FedEx still does not have the package in hand. PFSWeb still has it. It may have been marked as shipped on July 3, but it really hasn't, yet.
On the other hand, my CDN set has made it to Ville St-laurent, Quebec, and is in Customs. (Canada Post thinks I'll get the package on July 15.)
Just questioning the wisdom of placing these on sale immediately before a major holiday weekend. I suspect these fell off many people's radar...until today...hence the late surge. Still...quite an impressively fast sellout for 100,000.

I'm not sure it is so much a "late surge" as it is the big boys buying bulk when the HHL came off.
This may fizzle unless there really is a lot of unmet demand from people not aware of the offering.
