grabbed these up tonight from my fav 2nd hand shop but i dont know much about the three players on the cards . the scans arn't too clear as the plastic covers are scuffed up. Ill try to get better pics of them as soon as can.
the players names are Russell Westbrook , Derrick Rose , Kyrie Irving
I've needed this card forever to go with my Banks collection and finally picked one up. It was a little pricey but I did get the eight percent bucks and it's about the best PSA 8 I've ever seen. So many are off center and/or tilted.
Nice pick ups everyone!! I might just pull out
my t-206s next time I'm at the SDB. I remember
those first year Beam Teams. Still have two sets
floating around somewhere.
Nice pick up on the Banks - That card and the ‘58 AS (probably ‘58 topps as well though you cannot tell for sure) show him in the road jersey that reads Chicago Cubs and was only worn in ‘57.
I’ve been after this one for a while. It’s a pretty good scoop for me both price wise and grade wise. When it comes to ‘lesser’ stars, sometimes I hold out for a little higher grade:
1949 Remar Bread Billy Martin
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
This item was purchased back at the beginning of November with a bit of a shipping journey. First the Ice Road Truckers had to wait till the ice was fully frozen, then the sled dog team took over, from there it was a quick flight on Bill Barilko Air until it reached a civilized portion of Canada where Canada Post took possession of it. It was at this point things really slowed down. Flash forward to today. It is a 1970 opening night puck from the first ever Sabres game in Buffalo. I'm not sure on the number made but I'd wager it was small leading to an even smaller number still in existence. These rarely pop up and this one is in exceptionally good condition.

This card is a royal pain in the ass ~~~~
and someone even agreed.
curious as to why?
red, blue or black border, depending on variation, is notorious for chipping easily. they come out of the pack imperfect. landing a gem grade, especially a PSA 10, can be extremely tough.
Practically never steer away from cards but noticed this special "piece of history" collectible on PWCC and thought it was cool. I've always liked Aaron and idolized his cards when I first started collecting as a kid in the early 80's. To me he is still the true and legit Home Run King. Was able to use the EBAY "PERFECTGAME" 15% Discount to boot !!

I was the one who agreed, and with good reason. The Archives Rookie Stars Auto is one of a handful of important Judge 2017 RCs, and as another post pointed out, the colored borders on the rarer variations make finding a crisp example of those cards a serious challenge.
Only 25 reds were produced, so perhaps 10 or less survived in great condition.
For further reference, the 1 of 1 black came right out of the pack in 8 condition...
Agree on that Rookie Star. Blue borders are most forgiving of parallels. The reds and blacks are super tough. I have the red bazooka auto that got a BGS 9 because of chipping. Will post a pic later.
@MLBdays said: @DM23HOF ....with the centering and surface of that card....I'd guess you can send that in to BGS with a decent shot at a Mint 9. It looks a bit too sharp for an 8 at this vantage point....PSA is a bear on this issue.....that card is dynamite.
Thanks, you're right and I did that with my Bazooka; problem is the inner plastic sleeve that BGS uses kind of creates a glare or a cloudiness when I am looking at the card in-hand— whereas the PSA holder offers a more direct/clearer presentation of the card. I don't really get hung up on numerical grade, especially with a 1/1. Here is the Bazooka in the BGS so you can see what I mean about the inner sleeve; it just kind of dulls the presentation a little...

Is that the same image as the 56 Aaron, which is, reportedly, actually Willie Mays?
@NGS428 I thought you'd appreciate some of the Griffey Ultra GMs I just got back from a bulk sub. Some of my favorite photography. I was happy that I ended up getting a 10 on two of them.
I was so disappointed to miss out on one of these last night on eBay through auction, but this was available BIN. It's not as nice as the one I missed out on, and I paid slightly more for this one, but the 15% helped ease the pain on a tough Roy:
Also found these two with major seller discounts on BIN, and threw the 15% for a little extra savings:

Simply wow! Nice cards there! I am a little partial to Griffey in a Mariners Jersey, so your bottom row is making me drool...
Makes me want to stray away from my collecting goal at the moment and pick up some of these other beautiful cards. Nice sub for sure!
Used another 15% coupon today to snag this extremely rare Roy, however, it comes with a catch. The card has some significant damage to the bottom edge from packaging. The seller was reportedly going to destroy the card, taking one of a /10 print run card off the market, so I had to snatch it up. The signature and patch, along with the scarcity despite the damage, are worth much more to me than what I actually paid:

That is one sweet pickup!!! Congrats.
It’s a cool little set - when looking for rookies pre-1952, sometimes you can find stars (minor and major) in obscure sets.
There’s a bunch of funky stuff pre-Topps in literally and figuratively all shapes and sizes.

Pickups from the latest PWCC:
Nice example of one of the 15 lowest pop PSA 9s in the 1972 set...
Nice example of the only Yankee card of Jim Hardin, a teammate of Thurman Munson who also died tragically in a small aircraft accident....

I have no idea. The image looks kind of generic to me. I thought it might have been a drawing.
Djr.... That's a beautiful Hank Aaron rookie for the grade. Congrats on the pickup.

Took advantage of the 15% off and landed this for $127.50 dlvd. It's an old flip, do you guys think it could bump to an 8.5?
It looks very nice, but it was graded when half grades were already being used.
Thanks for the feedback dude!

Recent Curry Rookie pickup. #9 of 10 - POP 1 PSA 10
https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/chicago-cubs-shortstop-ernie-banks-slides-into-home-scoring-news-photo/514707758
Found the photo it was based on and it was Banks. Posted the Link but not sure I can post the photo since it is owned by Getty images.
It is similar to the Mays on the ‘56 Aaron but from a different angle.
Love these cards and am completing the subset but that photo is amazing and would have been cool if that was used.
