I've needed this card forever to go with my Banks collection and finally picked one up. It was a little pricey but I did get the eight percent bucks and it's about the best PSA 8 I've ever seen. So many are off center and/or tilted.
Is that the same image as the 56 Aaron, which is, reportedly, actually Willie Mays?
Found the photo it was based on and it was Banks. Posted the Link but not sure I can post the photo since it is owned by Getty images.
It is similar to the Mays on the ‘56 Aaron but from a different angle.
Love these cards and am completing the subset but that photo is amazing and would have been cool if that was used.
Nice research. I was too lazy to even get an image of the 1956 Aaron. That image shows the start of a slide. I searched for about 20 minutes and couldn't find the actual Mays photo, although I saw a couple, including the sliding image used on Mays' card that year, that seem as though the image on the Aaron is a part of a sequence.
Finally, the Getty image you found of Banks is from 1957.
I got these in within the last couple weeks. The 68 Killebrew is an upgrade for my 1968 Topps All Star subset. I now have 17 of the 20 card set in PSA 10. The 63 Pinson is an upgrade for my 1963 Fleer set. The two 61 MVP cards are additions for my 1961 Topps MVP subset

Those are some sweet additions. Love the Killebrew and that entire subset. That Pinson is pretty incredible as well. Those corners look dangerous. Congrats on some very nice upgrades.
Haven't been around here in a while. Some recent pick-ups, no pictures yet, scanner power cord is misplaced and a new one on the way...
1951 Topps Ringside #32 Rocky Marciano PSA 3
Low grade but the card has a good eye appeal in my opinion. Very happy to have a copy of this in my collection.
2016 Topps Allen & Ginter #119 Gennady Golovkin PSA 10
I dig GGG, wanted to add what I think is his first card to my collection although a sketch type. Looking to add a photographic card in the future to compliment.
1929 Godfrey Phillips Sporting Champions #5 Primo Carnera PSA 7
Might have been intoxicated when I bought this, has tilt and off-center. Looking to replace this with a card that has better eye appeal when I can.
1938 Cartledge Razor #28 Henry Armstrong SGC 92 (8.5)
Good balance, nice card. I really love the SGC holder and frankly may be crossing my boxing collection over because I'm not planning to sell them.

I'm now glad you asked. I did a little research and that is Ernie Banks sliding into home plate.
Ernie Banks Sliding Safely Into Home. Chicago Cubs shortstop Ernie Banks (center) slides into home scoring in the tenth inning off a pinch-hit single by Bob Will in a Chicago-Milwaukee Braves game at County Stadium. Braves centerfielder Hank Aaron fielded the ball and threw to catcher Del Crandall (right). The ball went through Crandall's legs allowing Banks to score. The Cubs defeated the Braves in 10 innings. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, September 8, 1957.
Just made a deal for this one last night. Can never have too many 56 Mantle’s, and this one looks to be nicely centered compared to most examples of this card and prIce was right.
Very nice! The stand they included was a nice bonus too. I have my Trout sitting in the stand on the shelf now.
I am still waiting on the Gretzky. Did you guys have to sign a release and get it notarized as well as filling out a W-9?
Yes. I went to a UPS store and got it notarized for around $2.
They said they were going to tell me when it shipped, they did not do that. It showed up 4 days after I emailed in the papers. It was shipped first class mail.
A co-worker had some cards given to him by a friend and brought them in for me to take a look at. He gave me his duplicates which was very nice of him. It pays off that people I work with know I collect cards. LOL. Some nice Deckle Edge cards, always loved the B&W photos. Take care. Doug
Thank you PSA for the 12 Days of Collecting and the great one in PSA 7! Along with the OPC 7 that I have had, it propelled me into the top 10 of the Wayne Gretzky Rookie Set!
Some results from a low-end bulk sub I just got back. Wanted to get one final one in before prices went up. Was pretty happy with the results since a lot of these have been sitting around for ~20 years in my collection

How’s this sub for great timing? Opening up this box today was the best early Christmas present I could ask for:
All went in raw, though Maris and DJ were crackouts. Really happy all around. And as a reminder, I’m a collector and what I go after is Yankees classics with a heavy Mickey slant.
Merry Christmas, ladies and gentlemen.
And a Happy New Year, too...

I had to resurrect the back of the case on this 04 Finest. There was some thick sticker residue on it. Luckily no cracks, just a few scratches. I guess that is why the seller did not show the back of the card on the listing. Oh well, it came out fairly well.
Nice pickup @han_soto. The quirky oddball stuff is what I love more than anything. My friend and I went in together on a large collection earlier this year that included 3 of the Heads Up boxes. They had the "X" out on them, and we weren't sure what we were going to get. There are 24 packs per box with one player inside each wrapper, and 24 players in the set. The boxes are normally perfectly collated, so it will yield one complete set if there has been no prior funny business. I believe if you knew what to feel for, you could easily cherry pick out the desired players. Anyway, they had been untouched, and yielded the expected 3 sets. We each took a set, then "drafted" the ones we each wanted from the third set. I have many of them displayed in my card room, including Donnie Baseball.
I've been wanting this one since the late 90s. It is my favorite finest set ever and I love this design more than the 1993. Also love that MJ is in #45 in this one.
I don't post many of my pickups but I found this to be pretty cool. It's a 2018 Heritage High Number Retail Value Pack with Ronald Acuna rookie on top and Juan Soto rookie on bottom. That's a 1:40,000 packs player combination. I couldn't hit the $25 BIN fast enough.

This pickup leaves me one shy (1963) of a high grade non-penny baseball wrapper run 1960-1982...
