I have this great Bert Blyleven auto up for sale in B,S,T and just dropped price to $33.00 delivered before putting on e-bay. Hoping someone here takes it!
Master set is Base, Sps, 4 insert sets, and possibly a 5th like this year (scratch offs) if they dont make it impossible. Some years I could also complete Walmart's and Target's exclusive set and add it to my "master".
You could do variations some years ago when there were like only 2 or 3. Nowadays you maybe (stress maybe) have a shot at the Action variation set. The others are way too rare and priced accordingly.

Once upon a time variations were true SP's available through out the release.. Doable for a standard master set. Once I see "AVAILABLE ONLY IN ....." I reject it in terms of Master Set building. I can see building WalMarts cloth sticker set and the Target candy lid set but that wouldn't be included in what I consider the markets master set. Scratch offs I might include in that because of what I believe is universal availability.

Agree Mike .... I think many don't realize he's a HOF'er. Cool story ..... I was in a BBCE Exchange Heritage Break on Wednesday and I pulled this auto. Then last night I pulled ANOTHER one lol. That's why I have one available.
Very nice to put several trades together this evening with fellow set collectors. Not sure many folks still enjoy this part of the hobby anymore. Always nice to help out a fellow collector finish up a set or find a special card they're chasing. I'll never forget a guy sent me a 1967 PSA 7 Bud Harrelson out of the blue on this forum when he heard that it was the last card I needed to finish my PSA set. He wanted nothing in return, just said congratulations.
Thanks folks, got in a round of golf before the rain, tasty dinner, and made some Heritage trades. It's been a good day. 😀
How many SPs do you think is fair for the Judge color swap?
(Trade on another place - and I'm the one trying to acquire the Judge). Thanks.
Not sure Mathew but here something to ponder:
The "color swap" in the team names is seeded at 1/245 - that's a lot of packs!
I don't sell cards but I can see someone bumping the "swap" at 10X?
Mike - misty and I cracked open a box and some retail stuff, and let me know if you need any SP’s for your set. We are not doing a set so won’t need them.

For those of you whom I've traded with: Despite what I may have said over the weekend it doesn't look like cards will be mailed today. We got hit with a wet heavy snow last night and not sure I can even get out yet.

No problem Dave. You're not sending a kidney.
Case arrived today.
It would be the perfect weather to ship if he had. We’re only going to get over freezing for a couple hours today here in DFW and that seems tame compared to you folks in the northeast.
Now Stoney your mission should you choose to accept it is to pull the 10 SPs I need so we can complete each other’s sets. No one seems to have these SPs. This message will self destruct in 10 seconds....

In the end I did get them in the mail. Mike that extra kidney is overnighted.
So I bought 4 hobby boxes and I have some questions on the color variations. I’ve been looking online all day for some sort answer, but I cannot find one. I see there is a base card color and a variation color. But what about multiple variations of color for the same team? I broke my cards down by team, and I have multiple colors for each team. For example, my Dodgers stack has 4 different team colors. Could someone help explain this? Like I said, I’ve been looking ALL day and can’t find an answer regarding this. Thanks!

The team names can be different colors, the team name color swaps are quite rare, I got 1 in a hobby case.

.
Thanx guys.
Haven't opened much yet - 1 box - was happy to get a Soto "action" variation.
Hiya Matt - I've got you on my "unofficial" list.
Opened 2 boxes and this weekend picked up a few hangers - no blasters available - just wanted to get a look.
Practically have a complete base set w/20 SPs.
Nothing unusual - some pieces of uni's and a sliver of wood - bat? Have never been a big fan of ripping up GU material.
Did like this one "Super" of Ryan, a mini of Godley 36/100 and an "action" of Soto.
Go get it Mike! I’m at 72 SP’s... a tough sled for sure without going well into single coma land on investment

Did I leave anything out?
So I bought 4 hobby boxes and I have some questions on the color variations. I’ve been looking online all day for some sort answer, but I cannot find one. I see there is a base card color and a variation color. But what about multiple variations of color for the same team? I broke my cards down by team, and I have multiple colors for each team. For example, my Dodgers stack has 4 different team colors. Could someone help explain this? Like I said, I’ve been looking ALL day and can’t find an answer regarding this. Thanks!
Time for dinner.
Box 3 had the usual suspects plus a big bonus with Ryan - also a black chrome and action card
Nice pull Mike congrats
Nice hit on the Ryan Mike. Here's to wishing that it's the worst hit in your case.
The team names can be different colors, the team name color swaps are quite rare, I got 1 in a hobby case.
cardboardconnections.com has a good variations checklist.

That is the clarification I needed, Ty!
That would make sense. Odds are 1/245 packs.
