For most team’s fans, just getting into the playoffs is a big deal. Winning the Super Bowl is the “impossible dream.” Just look at Cleveland, Detroit, Jacksonville, Tampa, Buffalo and Tennessee to name a few. Tampa won the big game in 2003, but has not done much since then. The others have been the tar pit.

Eagle’s fans should cherish the 2017 season and 2018 Super Bowl win. That was the reason why I rooted for them against the Patriots because I viewed it as a rare opportunity for the franchise and its fans. For many of us it was probably a once in a lifetime outcome. That previous time when the Eagles won the NFL Championship was in 1960. I was 11 years old and could not watch the game on TV because it was blacked out in the Philadelphia area.

Believe it or not, a local station did show the game starting at midnight the day it was played. That was well past my bedtime. :(

Well, the Eagles 2018 season execution time is scheduled for around 7:00 pm later today.

I have sent a certified written letter of appeal to the governor asking for a stay of execution, but I have yet to hear back from him. :/

Do the Bears have anything to play for today again the Vikings, except pride? A Bears victory is half of the only path that will get the Eagles into the playoffs.

The Bears are still playing for the two seed so yeah I'd say they have something to play for. A Bears win and Rams loss gives Chicago the 2 seed.

Whatever happens, please don't let it be the Vikings lose, and then the Eagles lose...I couldn't take it. 😡

If the Vikings win, then they win, and it's over...no opportunity was possible. 🤷

  • BillJonesBillJones Posts: 33,958 ✭✭✭✭✭

If the Eagles lose to the Redskins, they don't deserve to be there in any case. The Redskins are no very good, and should be one the " basic wins" that all playoff teams take.

No, they have a quarterback who has a losing record against teams with winning records.

Cousins is to three and outs times 3.

Bad news. The Rams are beating up on the San Francisco popcorns. If the Rams put the game away, the Bears will pull their best players.

Why don't you get a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue? At least it will taste good going down. Of course you could get Wild Turkey 100 Proof or if you really want to there quicker, you could get some Bacardi 151. That's something you try in college. :p

thus far, the Bears are the ones treating this game like their playoff lives depend on the outcome

    Vikes are sleepwalking

"thus far" being the operative phrase

the Rams hopped on the Niners early like i thought they would, which doesnt help

Kirk Cousins has played like absolute garbage. maybe the most overpaid player in the history of sports. Thielen & Diggs are barking at him on the sideline
