Im sincerely starting to think even Andy Reid couldn’t mess the Chiefs up. I think the Pats are in for their toughest test in years. 😕
Its gonna be interesting to see how they plan to cover Kelce & Hill. Can't double both an d I'm not sure they have a CB fast enough to stick with Hill.
Somehow has to jam/hit Hill if possible, not let him get a running start. Easier said than done.

I read an article yesterday pointing out that first time they met up this season JC Jackson was a healthy scratch for the game. For some reason I thought he was a part of that secondary getting torched by Hill that day. Maybe he's the guy to put on him sunday night.
Some thoughts on what I'm hoping to see on both sides of the ball tonight. On defense they have their work cutout for them with KC having arguably the speediest offense in the NFL and I think we're gonna see the D in nickel or dime most of the night. JC Jackson & Devin Mccourty look to be the Pats top speed guys in the secondary and I think its gonna take both guys on Hill to try to take him out of the game or at least slow him down. I don't think any one corner can stay with Hill and the Pats D can't afford to have Hill go for another 140+ & 3tds.
I'd have Gilmore shadow Kelce wherever he lines up on on the line kind of like how we saw Aqib Talib do to Gronk at times in the 2016 AFCCG. Talib & TJ Ward switched off on Gronk that day mostly shutting him down until that final drive where he made some Superhuman plays.
Then i'd have Jason Mccourty up on Sammy Watkins,Patrick Chung would be responsible for the running back and if KC goes 3 wide switch out Harmon for D.Mccourty who slides over to the #3 WR.
Last week there was a stat that NE pressured Phillip Rivers on 70% of their first half snaps on defense so I'd send the house to try to do the same with Mahomes. If they can get it down with just the front four, great, if not have Hightower & Van Noy cutting the gaps. On 3rd downs I'd have Van Noy spying on Mahomes in case he tries to get out of the pocket and run for a first.
On offense I want to see them come out with Gronk,Allen & Develin and try to just own the line of scrimmage like they did last week. That first half it was mostly Michel with some White coming out of the backfield when they got up big but I want McDaniels to open up the playbook like we saw week 16 against the Bills with Patterson,Burkhead & Dorsett all getting carries with the two above. Maybe even slip in some crossing routes for Edelman too. If they can get the KC defense on their heels early it might quiet down the crowd a bit. That place will be rocking and my biggest worry on offense will be the Pats OL coming up with some false start penalties. I don't want to see the silent snap count work against them.
On passing downs that Chiefs front 7 can get after the QB so we're probably gonna see Gronk back in pass protection alot, maybe even Allen as well. If the run game can keep the defense guessing then start to slip in some play action. You gotta think the Chiefs DC will try to take out White & Edelman so guys like Hogan,Dorset,Patterson & Burkhead might see more balls thrown their way than they usually get.
If this postseason is going to be Gronk's swan song I want to see him go out swinging. He's only had 11 targets in his last 4 games so get him out running routes to at least make the KC defense use up one of their better DBs on him, probably Eric Berry who has covered him in the past.
Both teams go in pretty much at full strength so this should be one hell of a game. These next few hours are gonna take forvever.

Same old Andy Reid as expected. How do you call any play which could allow your young QB to take a -14 yards sack in that situation? And keep 3 points off the board when your team badly needs some points.
Eagles fans saw the same frustrating thing from Reid time after time for 14 years.

Notice the superb clock management and play calling by the Patriots versus the Chiefs with little time left on the clock in the first half.
Unless the Patriots fall flat on their face in the second half, it's no stretch at all considering all the circumstances to consider this game likely over.
Another Super Bowl trip for the Patriots - simply amazing.
