This game has a matchup of the two oldest QBs facing off in playoff history. If we combined number of kids each guy has & SB rings won, Brady would win 8-7 so I got NE winning today.

edit: Maroney was a rookie in 2006 not 07.

unreal first half fellas. i was so, so wrong. LA has a top-10 D in every statistical category and they are getting pulverized by the NE machine.

I think most Pats fans didn't see this coming,I sure didn't, there's still a lot of game left though. If they win this game, next week might be Brady's toughest road test of his career, especially with his history there.

Great gameplan from BB,Flores & McDaniels. That was the best NE pass rush we've seen in a very long time not to mention making the Chargers run game almost nonexistent early on. I don't think anyone saw a 41 point effort with Gronk getting targeted just once all game either.
They're gonna need this same effort & more next week in KC.

I hope I'm not being a rotten husband for doing this but (hee hee) I've been playfully teasing my Bostonian wife (she's always been Red Sox first though) about how everyone outside of New England is sick of and hates her Patriots (been in every AFC Championship game since 2011, and three out of the last four Super Bowls) and it's time for someone else to go to the Super Bowl for a change! Hee hee, and what an inspirational underdog story for the Chefs to finally go to their first SB since 1969...and the only other time since then they even got this far (AFC title game) was in 1993.

I felt like earlier in the year McDaniels was sandbagging for the playoffs. And he did the same in the 2nd half against the Chargers.

I think his ego will propel us to victory.He has been relegated to the second tier in terms of who the media fawns over. I expect another genius game plan from him and Belichick.

It's probably been mentioned before that this game is about as close to a rematch of the 2004 season Super Bowl as possible between head coaches Bill Belichick and Andy Reid, now for the AFC championship.

Both coaches coached fine that day with the Patriots simply being the better team. If I'm remembering right, the Eagles were a 7 point underdog in that game, and frankly despite the close final score of 24-21, while watching the game, I never sensed that the Eagles were going to win it. The Patriots always simply did enough to keep the Eagles at bay.

Yes, that game was along time ago, and I think that the Chiefs do now have the better team with home field advantage. The question is can Andy Reid actually take advantage of that, instill confidence in his second season star quarterback, create a decent game plan, and also not freeze up and make bad decisions late in the first half and at the end of the game like he has too often had a tendency to do in the past.

I think to win this game, the Chiefs are going to need to open up a good lead of around 10 points or more, keep it and coast home. Whereby if the Patriots keep the score close, it's probable that Belichick will outsmart Reid and somehow win it at the end.

We shall see.

Its gonna be interesting to see how they plan to cover Kelce & Hill. Can't double both an d I'm not sure they have a CB fast enough to stick with Hill.
