I am literally and figuratively mentally exhausted. I’m almost speechless. Like I can’t even wrap my head around how many swings in this game tonight. Unbelievable game, I’m still shaking as I’m typing this. And to Darin I wish your team the best with Mahomes and co next season bud 🍻

Both teams deserve a lot of praise and credit. It was a memorable AFC Champioship game, may be the best I've even seen

I've been lucky enough to see my share of great Pats games these past 20 years but that fourth quarter was unbelievable all around.

Awesome comeback win by the Pats! A nice thrill for a Pats fan and all of Patriots nation. Just WOW!!!
Gotta give credit to the Chiefs. Mahomes is a great qb, and the Chiefs had a great season.

Has to be the greatest NFL game I've ever seen, I've been a Pats fan for a long, long time, this game was the best!!

As for the Saints game, gotta be the worst EVER non call for pass interference. That was so obvious and the win would have gone to the Saints. Sad thing to have refs miss such a clear infraction...they should have special challenges for crap like that, Saints got robbed.

I don't get why they go with Burkhead so much there over White. I know Rex is more than capable but White is Brady's rock on offense.

This Patriots win gives Belichick a one hour reprieve from bashing.

Belichick bashing may continue one hour from now.

This New England dynasty has got to be the best of all time, and Brady is the GOAT. They should be the the favorites over LA, but who knows what the zebras will do?

Look, I understand that a lot of the country does not like the Patriots because they have won so many times. I am a Patriots fan, but if the calls had been right, we would be playing New Orleans.

It is really. I'm not sleeping tonight, seriously. When they have these late Pats playoff games I get so amped up win or lose,i've had times where I was up all night. The Atlanta comeback was real rough after tonight wasn't much different with all of the late lead changes.

    To paraphrase Issac Hayes:

"Brady is a bad Mutha ........., Hush your mouth. We can dig it."

Tonight Brady and Edleman were masterful.

I have heard on sports talk radio that the Golden State
Warriors are the New England Patriots of the NBA.
One could also say the Patriots are the Warriors of the NFL.

Both teams are adored in their home towns and despised in many other parts of the country.

Grats to the Pat's and Rams. On to the Super Bowl.

bronco- actually that happened at the end of the first half. The Pats have the ball in their own territory, 3rd and 5,
looks like they're content to run the ball and go into the half leading 7-0 as Brady and the offense is in no hurry. But the genius Reid calls timeout with 1:05 left. Now every Chiefs fan in the world knows we're not going to stop them on 3rd and 5, and I'm happy going into half down 0-7 as we get the ball first in the second half. So what happens, they pick up a first down and a few plays later they score. Reid did the same thing in the regular season. That was an absolutely idiotic timeout. I'm convinced the Pats were just going to run out the clock if possible. Horrible decision to let Brady get a chance at another
    TD before the half.

You're gonna see them there again, multiple times likely. I honestly think this was the best game I've ever seen with all of those 4th quarter lead changes. Everytime NE scored to go ahead late we just knew Mahomes was coming right back and he did. That kid is amazing.

It’s a good problem to have I guess. White, Rex and Sony. White is great to have against a team with a pass rush like the Chiefs. He will be important to slow down the Rams pass rush as well with screens, draws and chips

    The two Denver v
Cleveland AFC title games back in the 1980's were very good also (if you were a Denver fan).

My favorite AFC title game was in 1978 when Fenver beat the Raider to make it to its first Super Bowl.

I couldn't agree with ya more about this, and I thought that at the time it was happening.

Eagles fans endured 14 seasons of watching Reid make horrible mistakes such as this. Without doing a dissertation, you are absolutely right about that situation. Belichick was going to simply run out the clock and take a 7 point lead into the locker room at halftime.

In a different circumstance such as if the Chiefs were way ahead in a game against a lesser team, then ya call that timeout, and give your team a chance to get the ball back and maybe score again and ice the game. But you do not give killers such as Belichick-Brady a chance to reflect and come up with a good play or two, to get down the field and perhaps sneak out with a field goal, and they wound up scoring a TD.

The Chiefs were doing squat all half anyway. What, suddenly getting the ball back with one minute from around their 15 or 20 yard line after the punt, they're going to suddenly revive themselves and get something done? No, you let the Patriots run out the clock, take your lumps, and you're only down by 7 at home going into the locker room.

I don't wish to pile on too much regarding Andy Reid because he's a good guy and most Eagles fans liked him, including me. However his current conference playoff finals record is 1-5 and Super Bowl record is 0-1. Something is drastically wrong with that picture. Yes, he will get his team to the dance which is great, but never dances with the pretty girl.

I'm not wishing the Chiefs any ill will with Andy Reid. But Reid for years with the Eagles had a pretty good QB Donovan McNabb as QB and couldn't close the deal. Reid puts together a good team, he's a genius at recognizing QB talent, and credit where credit is due for drafting Patrick Mahomes. Reid does all that and then blows it every season with his play calling and clock management at critical times. When this keeps happening season after season it's no longer coincidence or bad luck. It's fact that something in Reid's brain freezes up during certain moments in big playoff games.

Amazing game. KC fans have to be disappointed their offense only played for 2 quarters.

Super Bowl should be an interesting match up. Four out of five for the Pats, the one season they missed they were a failed two point conversion from sending the AFC championship to OT. I can remember pundits saying sustained excellence like that would be impossible in the salary cap era.

As for the refs I think there were missed calls on both sides of the ball. Right after the phantom roughing the passer call, the refs missed a long pass interference call on Berry against Gronk. They also called a questionable PI call on Jackson on the prior Chiefs drive and missed a downfield pick on Watkins big catch. The calls evened out IMO.

Gronk has finally looked healthy in the playoffs. He makes a huge difference in the efficiency of the Pats O.

Darin, thanks again for being such a good sportsman. That was an incredible game and it obviously could have have gone either way, basically the coin flip in OT decided it. You got an unbelievably awesome up and coming team to root for and I definitely think they are on track for a Super Bowl soon enough bud, best of luck next season 🍻

What a game! The GOAT continues to play at a high level at 41. The O line protected him better than ever, definitely a key to the game. Gronk looked healthier than ever, not only is he a great receiver, but watch him block DE’s and LB’s, the best ever!

This is probably going over the top, but if you're a fan of football, you're proud to be an American, and you have a good feeling inside. From all the pop warner coaches, to high school and college coaches, these are some of the best athletes we've produced in this country, and they put on quite the display last night.

The network executives may have been dancing on the conference tables as they certainly got the Super Bowl game they wanted.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this Super Bowl sets a TV viewing record.

Great to see that basically all is good with the NFL again.

I honestly think this would have been the case with whatever match-up came out of this weekend.
    NE-LA (the rematch)
KC-LA (the changing of the guard)
Mahomes-Brees (arguably the top two contenders for this season's MVP)
Brady-Brees (arguably the best head to head QB match-up ever for a SB)

ya but at the very end he didn't screw up so I'll give him a pass. If the chiefs get defense tidied up in the off season they will be unbeatable. Mahomes is the next big thing , all they need to win a game is one or 2 defensive stops more than whoever they play. Just hold the opponent to under 27 points and go 19-0
