If this has been discussed before I apologize. Is the US Mint the only mint to have problems with milk spots, or have other world mints had problems also? -

Slabbed "milk-spotted" silver
Recently I've seen milk-spotted silver in an NGC slab. I verified the number, and the very noticeable white spots WERE present at slab / phto time. Does anyone know if PCGS would slab such a coin at grade? Or would it be deemed "details" only? -

I have yet to see a 'final solution' posted on the milk spot problem. I do know that Russ posted a 'preventive' method years ago... that of an acetone rinse as soon as the coin is received. I have a few ASEs that have some milk spots and a few just some black spots maybe pvc.. I know somewhere this was chatted about down the line, but I want to dip tomorrow.. So any suggestions? Yaha -
ASE RP with milk spots.
I have a Reverse Proof ASE that has grown a nice milk spot right on the shield. Its graded Pr 69 . I was wondering if it would be worth it to resubmit it or not.. Milk spots on ASEs????
Did I read something in here about PCGS being able to remove milk spots from PROOF ASEs? If I'm remembering correctly it said they couldn't do anything for biz strike coins, but could fix proof coins. PS Can they do anything with REV PROOF coins? My certified coins are from the first release from the mint. and all three… -
Milk spot eagles
Would you consider a designation for MS eagles that would be a MS70 if not for the possible milk spots? MS69ms maybe? Or a time limit to regrade them as MS70 if there are no milkspots? Thanks. Jim -

Milk spots white. Fellow Coin club members complain getting slabbed MS70 coins w milk spots from sellers using stock photos.
