Just spoke with a friend who is a very large heritage buyer...busted over 22 cases and also had a retail jumbo case that had a hot box FULL of nothing but the variation cards (ruth/maris/mantle).

He confirmed YAZ is on the auto list. But he had no Musials and doesn't believe musial signed.

So thats 6 HOF autos out there.

His advice: wait until the furor settles down before buying anything on ebay.

Time for a short break and then on to case #4.

That has been on packs for a while now, and has more to do with the Jaromir Jagr refractor card fiasco than anything else, although the recent trend of unnumbered gold and black refractor cards that have hit the market certainly would fall into this category.

I don't think these will be quite as scarce this year. I pulled 3 of the Braves #463 and only 2 of the Teixeira #463 out of the 27 boxes I opened.

The Pedroia sig is kind of rushed and brief. I wish Topps had some rules about scribbling initials on their product. You know???

Joe, if I had it to do over again I would have ordered more cases.

Stoney, I'm not sure they are easier to pull this year, I'm on my 4th case and none yet. They may appear more common on ebay because people are spotting them easier this year since they have white backs. I also haven't seen any Maris/Mantle/Ruth since the first case.
