tracking numbr generated for me, too. however, doesn't work on shipper's web site... yet.
oh, btw.... there have been instances where items have shipped yet the tracking number never works, as well as other shipping mistakes. of the mistake that occur most often, having it never ship despite indications otherwise is one of the lowest ones. (I hedge here because: one time I got the right shipping label to me on someone else's package... I hope that one is the least common mistake)
So, don't sweat it too much if there are a few problems along the way. most get worked out in the end. (even the switched shipping labels one eventually worked out fine.)
It means they printed a label, slapped it on the box, punched it into your order, and you can click on it.. but Fedex hasn't scanned it yet, so it's not in their system yet.. give it some more time, and it will be.. scanned.. and in their system.. takes a day or less after the Tracking number appears on an order.. and they're using Fedex "SmartPost [tm]".. unless you paid for "Expedited Shipping" at about $18.00, or unless you ordered a bunch of other stuff, to bring your order total over $300.00, Fedex won't deliver it.. they'll hand it off to the USPS, and your mailman/woman/lifeform will deliver it.. in your mailbox, if it'll fit, or to your door, if it won't fit..
Once a Tracking number is actually Trackable, then you can request email notifications of delays, exceptions, alien abductions, and delivery, on the Fedex site..

Several times while waiting on the order to even be listed as processed or shipped I have gotten the package opened it and secured the contents. Never know with them. Tracking number or no it will come through the USPS unless you have paid for expediated shipping.

Well, unless they lied, and the Lincoln $ in this set is made out of Cheeze-Whiz, it's Silver.. but they don't upgrade shipping on this set to over-night Fedex (what they call "Expedited").. for this, unless you ordered $300.00 worth of them, but you couldn't, because they'd have to all go to the same address in the same box, but they couldn't, because it was one per.. so the whole order would've been cancelled.. so, instead, it would have been down-graded to "Fahget about it" shipping.. this is a somewhat obscure Fedex shipping tier, where you pay nothing, and get nothing.. they don't advertise it very much..

fedex has the info on it "Shipment information sent to FedEx"
even if fedex has the info tonight, it's "rec'd" scan happens later at night. So, I won't know if they actually have it in their possession until tomorrow when I wake up.
Chances are highly likely that they will have it tonight, but there is a slim chance the shipping dept. lamed out on me again and only printed the label and transmitted the info for shipping tomorrow.

Wouldn't it be ironic if they used all the problem Lincoln commems that were returned during the initial issue? I seem to recall an issue where the numbers didn't quite add up to cover a reserve of 50,000 for these sets. I could be mistaken. I guess we'll see the quality soon enough.

So if my LN6 goes out tonight, and it likely will, I'm expecting it by Monday, 10/26... that'd be really good for them and their delivery times. Pony Express arrival before "backorder date" and in less than 2 weeks from ordering.
Just wondered about the 2001 buffalo dollar prices. 500,000 were made and sold out in 2 weeks. The 2 coin set went for $55, today it goes for $295 in OGP. I never got one of those, I've been waiting for the price to go down.......
Any correlation between the buff dollar and the lincoln dollar and/or the entire chronicle set in your opinion?
GB, the last few standard shippings I have gotten from them, start out Fed X, and then end up coming USPS. Some sort of deal they worked out, and it takes about a week to get delivered. I didn't read all the responses to see if someone else said this, so sorry if I am repeating that.
