Silver bullion picture thread

I've just recently become interested in silver bullion (been a coin collector for 35 years), and wanted to start this thread to get more information about silver in bullion form, such as bars or coins, etc. Really, I'm a novice in this field and would like to soak up as much knowledge as possible, so please feel free to chime in with information if possible. Please also post pictures of your (or others') interesting bars.

First off, I just picked up this 1 kg Credit Suisse bar with a serial number 94720. How easy to find are Credit Suisse bars, or how desirable are they? When was mine made? I assume this was not a poured bar, but rather forged (is "extruded" the right term here?) since it's so uniform looking. Am I on the right track? I've found a couple small (less than 1 oz.) bars as well, and some have serial numbers and some don't. Do the ones without serial numbers predate those with numbers?

My Dad has a Nickel Castlefront slot machine. Looks just like yours except it's blue. It was made in 1933 or 1938. Came from a hotel in Chicago. Still works. I filled it up full of circ Buffalo Nickels. Looks neat.

They are so thick I can't find an airtite to fit, so for now It is just stuffed in a coinsafe flip.

Sorry to inconvenience you. In my first post I asked for help/advice on how to use imageshack with this board's software (which doesn't allow normal linking for some reason) and since nobody has been able to assist me in this matter, I provided direct links. That's the best I can do, since I haven't figured out how to use my new Mac's photo-editing software. So I simply deleted the pictures in my offending post.

Jester - best way to use Imageshack is to click the "resize image" to 640 x 480 size. Then, when it's uploaded the picture, scroll to the very BOTTOM of the screen. (Don't copy any of the four things at the top of the page). You will see two boxes with long links. Literally copy and paste ONE of them into the text of your message. (Don't click http or any other "buttons" here on the forums). Click preview to check that it looks OK. There will be some extraneous junk characters you can delete. Then you're all set.

Thanks for the kind words, Mike. And yes, an old kilo bar....yummy!!! I'm sure it's out of my league, however, especially with S&H. Those 5 kilo "coins" are in fact almost too heavy to be toting around.
