My LRCards case is sitting at home right now. Mine must've shipped yesterday as well - I am in central ny.

I still believe in SVU18. I haven't spoken with him yet but I am remaining positive that he will make good - either by delivery or refund.

Chrome v2. ughhh. Then again, my kids love the chrome cards so I guess I might get sucked into a case of topps chrome.

Looking over at that other board, looks like the johan w/Mets is a tough pull - 2 pulls in a 5 case break.

I think some of the ideas were misses (buybacks, auto checklist), and the photo quality is suspect at best, but I still applaud topps for mixing things up a bit - trying to breath new excitement into Heritage. With the unannounced rare variations (perez, johann, etc), advertising panels, black backs, great chrome checklist, authentic '59 set mirroring, they had enough positives. After cracking A&G, the 2006 and 2007 heritage pale in value. They didn't even have hobby box toppers in 2005 or 2006. The best box topper idea yet was the 2004 double headers. We need more of those - truly collectible box toppers that mirror the topps experimental issues from back in the day.

Let me also add that even though I'm not a relic collector, I think both the flashback and the CC relics are the best design yet on a heritage relic (except maybe the seminal 2001 relics).

One thing they were missing is they needed to have produced some "hot" cases - maybe they have, its too early to know for sure.

Its a good time to be a heritage collector!

<< just called LRCards and got my tracking number. It shipped yesterday, and my location is a one day ship, so my case is on the UPS truck as we speak. The only downside to that is that I am the last house on the UPS route and I get my deliveries around 6PM, but I aint complaining. >>

Edited to say: Just talked to LR and mine shipped yesterday as well, will get a tracking # within the hour.
Probably a 2 day ship to here.

No big name buybacks have appeared yet on ebay that I've seen. I may keep mine unopened when/if I recieve product! Hopefully they will be sent out tomorrow.

Spoke with LR today. My cases went out today on a two day ship. Its likely I'll get them Monday. Torture. So I picked up two boxes locally for 70 each. No great pulls. Hope the cases are better.

I ran to my local HS and grabbed 2 boxes. I've not finished opening them, but I've got a 1959 original (#414 Dale Long), a Mantle and a Frank Robinson stadium seat, and quite a few chromes (Ichiro, Tim Hudson, and Ellsbury among others) That's not too bad for only opening about 25 packs or so.

Had to do another lunchtime run. Picked up one box. Is everybody getting an advertising panel as well as a buyback in the same box? I've open 3 boxes so far and 2 of them have had both.

Jim..thanks for the SP list, but does that include the red/black SP's in 2001 and the light back variations in 05?

says collect all 500 on the back of them. not sure if that means 500 though. i got 2 with manny ramirez thrills. but they were in different spots. 1 to the far left and one in the middle.

im having zero luck this year 5 boxes so far 5 regular relic cards. no black refractors seats or ink!

and that ugly POC is already up to $207. I really think Topps should hire Garret to do their 1/1 cuts. I think it would add even more appeal to collectors. For several years their 1/1 cuts have been a complete joke. Garret could really spruce those up.

Here is the Gibson Flashback Relic. Absolutely love this card. It looks like a later picture of him. I agree with whoever said earlier that the FB-Relic Set might the best so far.
